Spot Heater
A device is described in which the shape of a resistive heater material is configured to provide rapid and strong heating of a small area. The resistive heating material is heated unevenly while efficiently using power.
Personal Mobile Air Heater
A self-contained functional and physical architecture is described to utilize a honeycomb configuration Positive Temperature Coefficient semiconductor thermistor heater to provide breathable warm air to an individual under cold weather conditions. The high-temperature of the heater element provides substantial efficiency allowing hours long use on battery power only. The invention utilizes pulsed heater operation in combination with lengthwise air mixing to rapidly and efficiently lower the temperature of the high temperature heated air to a temperature that is breathable. The invention solves issues with visor fogging, adaptability to a wide temperature range, and adaptability to a wide range of individual exertion. This system is applicable to a wide range of cold weather work environments, cold weather sports, scientific exploration, military operations, or medical needs. Several physical embodiments are described utilizing various forms of helmets and masks.
THERMAL SUBSTRATE WITH HIGH-RESISTANCE MAGNIFICATION AND POSITIVE TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT INK
An article comprising a heater that comprises a high-resistance magnification (HRM) PTC ink deposited on a flexible substrate to form one or more resistors. The HRM PTC ink has a resistance magnification of at least 20 in a temperature range of at least 20 degrees Celsius above a switching temperature of the ink, the resistance magnification being defined as a ratio between a resistance of the double-resin ink at a temperature T and a resistance of the double-resin ink at 25 degrees Celsius.
HEATING DEVICE
A heating device includes a heater electrode disposed in the inner portion of a plate-like body and including a heater line portion; and a plurality of specific portions arranged side by side in a predetermined arrangement direction. The heater line portion includes a first heater line portion and a second heater line portion arranged in a location closer than the first heater line portion to the specific portions. The second heater line portion has a projecting line part passing through a first virtual straight line and curving toward a side of the first heater line portion; and a recessed line part extending to avoid a second virtual straight line and curving toward a side opposite to the side of the first heater line portion.
