Thick film heaters

The invention relates to a combination of an electrical heating element and a heat dissipater to be heated thereby; the heating element comprises a substrate, an insulating layer located on the substrate and a thick film conductor located on the insulating layer, wherein the second side of the metallic substrate is in contact with the heat dissipater, comprising a layer of metallic material on its face towards the heater and wherein the substrate is brazed to the heat dissipater and the surface of the heating element over which the thick film conductor extends, is substantially equal to the surface of the heat dissipater. The brazing leads to a permanent contact between the heating element and the heat dissipater, so that the possible tendency for warping as caused by the heating and cooling cycles will be withstood.

Cooking appliance with a sensor control panel

A cooking appliance includes a cooktop having at least one sensor operating field. The at least one sensor operating field has at least one scroll field for step by step modification of a multi-value operating parameter of the cooking appliance. The at least one scroll field has a number of discretely disposed sensor keys which are disposed below a cooktop plate.

A chuck for a plasma processor comprises a temperature-controlled base, a thermal insulator, a flat support, and a heater. The temperature-controlled base is controlled in operation a temperature below the desired temperature of a workpiece. The thermal insulator is disposed over at least a portion of the temperature-controlled base. The flat support holds a workpiece and is disposed over the thermal insulator. A heater is embedded within the flat support and/or mounted to an underside of the flat support. The heater includes a plurality of heating elements that heat a plurality of corresponding heating zones. The power supplied and/or temperature of each heating element is controlled independently. The heater and flat support have a combined temperature rate change of at least 1° C. per second.

Wire heated tube with temperature control system for humidifier for respiratory apparatus

A control system for a heated conduit in a respiratory apparatus includes a power supply configured to provide power to the heated conduit and a heating control circuit configured to control an amount of heat generated in the heated conduit. The control system further includes a sensing circuit configured to indicate the temperature of a sensor positioned in the heated conduit by comparing a reference voltage with a sum of a voltage drop through the sensor and a voltage provided to the sensor by the power supply when the heating control circuit is on. When the heating control circuit is off, the voltage drop through the sensor is solely due to current provided by a current source.

COOKTOP DEVICE

A cooktop device, in particular an induction cooktop device, includes a base component and an articulated arm having a first arm part and a second arm part, with the articulated arm bearing exactly one heating element. A joint supports the second arm part for movement relative to the first arm part, and a suspension connects the first arm part to the base component.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A COOKING APPLIANCE, AND COOKING APPLIANCE

A method for controlling a cooking appliance using a mobile terminal that is separate from the cooking appliance, both of which have a controller and a BLE communication device, involves the following steps being performed: switching on the cooking appliance and the terminal, setting up a communication link between the two by means of a specified user process on the cooking appliance or on the terminal and confirming the set-up of the communication link by means of a user process by the user on the cooking appliance. A signal strength of the communication link between the two communication devices at the time of confirmation of the communication link on the cooking appliance is stored and is monitored during use. If the signal strength drops below a prescribed signal strength limit value, then user commands from the mobile terminal are blocked.
