A laminated glass according to the present invention is a windshield for an automobile to which an information acquisition device for acquiring information from the outside of a vehicle by emitting and/or receiving light can be installed, the windshield including an outer glass plate that includes a first side and a second side that is opposite to the first side, an inner glass plate that is arranged opposite to the outer glass plate and has substantially the same shape as the outer glass plate, and an intermediate film that is arranged between the outer glass plate and the inner glass plate. The windshield includes an information acquisition region that is to be located opposite to the information acquisition device and through which the light passes.

LAMINATED GLASS
Laminated glass includes: an outer glass plate having a first side and a second side; an inner glass plate that is arranged opposing the outer glass plate and has substantially the same shape as a shape of the outer glass plate; and an intermediate layer arranged between the outer and the inner glass, wherein the intermediate layer has a heat-generating layer including: a first bus bar that extends along an end portion closer to the first side; a second bus bar that extends along an end portion closer to the second side; and a plurality of heating lines arranged so as to connect the first bus bar and the second bus bar to each other, and when a predetermined voltage is applied between the first and second bus bars, an amount of heat generated per unit length of each of the heating lines is 2.0 W/m or less.

Methods relating to and an apparatus including: a smart device and an integrated heating module are provided. The apparatus includes: a smart device having an electrically switchable material, a first transparent layer and a second transparent layer, wherein the electrically switchable material is retained between a first transparent layer and a second transparent layer; and an integrated heating module configured between the electrically switchable material and one of: the first transparent layer and the second transparent layer, wherein the integrated heating module is configured to provide resistant heating along at least a portion of the electrically switchable material.
