LIGHT TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DEVICE AND METHOD
20190265332 · 2019-08-29 ·

The present invention relates to a light transmitting and receiving device and method, which output the power of a partial optical pulse such that the power thereof is different from that of another optical pulse, so as to receive reflected light, and identify whether an object, which is undetectable using the reflected light of an optical pulse outputted with relatively low power, is detected using the reflected light of an optical pulse outputted with relatively high power, so as to adjust the power of an optical pulse to be output thereafter. Therefore, detection efficiency can be maximized using low power while eye safety requirements are satisfied.

IMITATION CANDLE DEVICES WITH MOVING LIGHTS
20180372286 · 2018-12-27 ·

Imitation candle devices and systems with features enable simulation of a realistic candle flame using moving lights are disclosed. In one aspect, an imitation candle device is provided that includes a flame sheet shaped to resemble a flame, a support member positioned in proximity to the flame sheet, and a light casing including a hole. An end of the support member extends into the hole and a tip of the end of the support member is in contact with an inner wall of the hole to allow movement of the light casing on the support member. The imitation candle device also includes a light emitter enclosed at least partially in the light casing and movable with movement of the light casing. The light emitter is oriented at an inclined angle with respect to the flame sheet to emit light onto the flame sheet.

FRACTIONAL POWER LIGHTING SYSTEM
20240324085 · 2024-09-26 ·

A lighting system includes a plurality of lamps configured to operate in an on mode and in an off mode. The plurality of lamps include C?N lamps, wherein C is a number of channels and N is a number of lamps per channel. The lighting system includes a plurality of electronic switches coupled to the lamps to switch the lamps between the on and off modes. A power source provides the lamps with operating power. A controller is electrically coupled to operate the electronic switches. The controller includes timing circuitry to control time each lamp is in the on mode and the off mode. Within a given time period, the amount of time each lamp is in the on mode is less than the amount of time each lamp is in the off mode. The frequency at which each lamp is in the on mode is at least 60 Hz.

Decorative light string switchable between different illumination states

A system and method of creating a steady ON and a special effects light effect from a bulb without providing any special wiring thereto. In one embodiment, the bulb contains an illumination element and a controller which produces the special effect in the element. By interrupting the flow of current to the controller periodically, the controller is initialized to its initial steady ON condition. A plurality of steady ON pulses at a high frequency will appear as a steady ON light, instead of pules, thereby producing a steady ON appearance without special wiring. When the current is allowed to flow continuously, the controller produces the special effect. A second embodiment uses parallel polarized light element which produce different effect when power is applied in opposite polarities, thereby providing two effects with no special wiring.
