System and method for controlling one or more light emitting diodes. For example, the system for controlling one or more light emitting diodes includes a current generator configured to generate a first current flowing through one or more light emitting diodes. The one or more light emitting diodes are configured to receive a rectified voltage generated by a rectifying bridge coupled to a TRIAC dimmer. Additionally, the system includes a bleeder configured to receive the rectified voltage, and a controller configured to receive a sensing voltage from the current generator and output a control signal to the bleeder. The sensing voltage indicates a magnitude of the first current.

A controller is provided to activate ground lighting in coordination with sensor signals identifying where an individual or object are located in predetermined proximity to the vehicle.

In particular, the device comprises a memory storage device for storing a plurality of ideal voltage waveforms; an electronic controller arranged in data communication with the memory storage device, the electronic controller operable to select one of the plurality of ideal voltage waveforms to compute a reference voltage and a switching period based on a predetermined rule; and an electronic switch arranged to receive the switching period to switch the electronic switch between an on state and an off state, wherein the electrical current is calculated based on a function of the reference voltage and the switching period of the electronic switch.

A device and a method for providing an electrical current to an electrical load is disclosed. In particular, the device comprises a memory storage device for storing a plurality of ideal voltage waveforms; an electronic controller arranged in data communication with the memory storage device, the electronic controller operable to select one of the plurality of ideal voltage waveforms to compute a reference voltage and a switching period based on a predetermined rule; and an electronic switch arranged to receive the switching period to switch the electronic switch between an on state and an off state, wherein the electrical current is calculated based on a function of the reference voltage and the switching period of the electronic switch.

A dynamic runway illumination system, including a light source having an addressable light beam direction, and a control unit configured to receive aircraft attitude information and the orientation of the runway selected for takeoff or landing, obtain horizontal and vertical axes, the horizontal axis being collinear with the takeoff or landing longitudinal direction, determine the actual and the reference aircraft trajectories, obtain the actual and the reference vertical approach angles, and the actual horizontal approach angle, and actuate onto the light source to perform an angular movement in the light beam direction of an absolute value of the actual vertical approach angle minus the absolute value of the reference vertical approach angle about the vertical axis, and an angular movement of an absolute value of the actual horizontal approach angle about the horizontal axis, to vertically and horizontally align the beam of the light source towards the runway direction.

Flexible, interruptible radial bus and bus-mounted bead device
A multi-conductor bus with radially arranged conductor wires on which addressable bead devices that may incorporate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or other surface mount devices (SMDs) can be easily mounted. The radial bus is designed to provide an improved range of flexibility and motion while allowing for easy addition of bead devices along its length that utilize self-addressing bus protocols such as cascading device protocols. The design of the flexible, interruptible radial bus facilitates the use of pass-through and interrupted paths along the bus that simplifies the installation of addressable devices along the bus such as the bus-mounted bead devices disclosed herein.
