LED driver and a LED module for use with the driver
A LED driver comprises two output contacts (310, 311) and an additional contact (312) which enables detection of connection of the LED driver to a LED module (301). The LED driver has a normal current regulating mode and an open circuit protection voltage regulating mode. The LED driver is switched from the voltage regulating mode to the current regulating mode in response to the detection of connection of the LED module. This enables a LED module to be connected to the LED driver while it remains powered, in particular because the LED driver is placed in a voltage regulating mode prior to connection to the LED module.
SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE, LIGHT SOURCE CONTROL DEVICE, AND LIGHT SOURCE CONTROL SYSTEM
The invention provides a semiconductor device capable of diagnosing communication network quality. Disclosed is a semiconductor device that is coupled to a light source, the semiconductor device including a signal processing unit that is coupled to an interface module and transmits and receives a command signal to increase or decrease illumination intensity of the light source and a deterioration detector that detects deterioration of the interface module, based on whether or not change timing of a signal representing data of a command signal received by the interface module falls within a predetermined interval.
Bi-directional gender changing rotary connection for luminaire
An elongated lighting module having an asymmetric illumination source formed from at least two rows of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that extend along the long axis of the module and are independently controllable. The illumination source is rectangular and oriented so that the rows of LEDs extend along the long axis of the module. The module has couplings at each end that allow additional modules to be interconnected to each other and to a central mount, thereby avoiding the need for a support pole having cross-arms. The lighting modules are powered via a wiring harness that extends down a support pole to a power converter stack having LED drivers to control the modules.

Switch control systems for light emitting diodes and methods thereof
System and method for controlling one or more light emitting diodes. For example, the system for controlling one or more light emitting diodes includes a current generator configured to generate a first current flowing through one or more light emitting diodes. The one or more light emitting diodes are configured to receive a rectified voltage generated by a rectifying bridge coupled to a TRIAC dimmer. Additionally, the system includes a bleeder configured to receive the rectified voltage, and a controller configured to receive a sensing voltage from the current generator and output a control signal to the bleeder. The sensing voltage indicates a magnitude of the first current.
Retrofit LED system for a lighting system and light system
A retrofit LED system for a lighting system allowing ease of replacement or installation of an LED lighting system in a grid ceiling. An adapter for providing easy installation of an LED lighting system within a room. A driver for operating directly from any standard AC voltage.
Panel light apparatus with movable concealing plate
The back plate has four lateral walls and a bottom plate. A back side of the bottom plate includes multiple sets of folding hooks. Each set corresponds a different installation platform. One of the multiple sets of folding hooks is folded to be used for hooking to a corresponding installation platform. The light source module has multiple LED modules disposed on the bottom plate. Each LED module has a LED device and a lens. The lens diffuses a light of the LED device to be evenly emitted from the lens and broadening an output angle of the light via the lens. The diffusion plate with a peripheral edge is fixed to the four lateral walls of the back plate. The driver cover is attached to an external side of one of the four walls of the back plate. The driver cover defines a container cavity for concealing the driver module.

EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM
An emergency lighting fixture is provided. The emergency lighting fixture includes a backup power supply. The backup power supply includes one or more batteries. The emergency lighting fixture includes one or more light sources. The emergency lighting fixture includes a transceiver. The emergency lighting fixture includes a controller configured to determine a status of the backup power supply. The controller is further configured to transmit a beacon signal via the transceiver. The beacon signal can include the status of the backup power supply.
Local master control module and surge arrestor
An elongated lighting module having an asymmetric illumination source formed from at least two rows of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that extend along the long axis of the module and are independently controllable. The illumination source is rectangular and oriented so that the rows of LEDs extend along the long axis of the module. The lighting modules are powered via a wiring harness that extends down a support pole to a power supply having LED drivers to control the power to the modules. The power supply is divided between a core enclosure housing the LED drivers and a master enclosure that commands and controls the core enclosure. Multiple core enclosures may be used to power multiple luminaires under the control of a single master enclosure.
