The heater seat includes: a heat-generating body arranged on an outer side of the transparent plastic layer; and an extension extending from an edge of the heat-generating body. A section of the heater wire in the extension is a terminal electrically connected to the connector pin. An outer part of the connector pin is embedded in a periphery of the base. An inner part of the connector pin is exposed from the base. The extension extends inward in an outer-inner direction in the periphery of the base. The terminal of the heater wire is joined to the outer part of the connector pin in the periphery of the base.

An aerosol-generating system includes a liquid-storage portion configured to hold a liquid aerosol-forming substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a control system. The second electrode is spaced from the first electrode. At least a portion of the liquid storage portion is arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The control system is configured to measure an electrical quantity between the first electrode and the second electrode, and detect a draw on the aerosol-generating system based on the measured electrical quantity information.

The temperature of a vaporizing device, e.g., the temperature of a heating element of the vaporizing device, may be controlled according to various aspects of the present disclosure. The vaporizing device may comprise a heating element, a power source, at least one sensor in electronic communication with the heating element and the power source, and a processor configured to control the temperature of the heating element. The method of controlling the temperature may comprise receiving a resistance measurement of the heating element from the at least one sensor, determining the temperature of the heating element based on the resistance measurement, and adjusting the amount of power supplied to the heating element based on the determined temperature of the heating element.
Electronic smoking device including a switch to selectively toggle the device between states
An electronic smoking device operable in at least two states. A switch is configured to selectively toggle the device between a first state in which a power source provides energy to a first heating element to produce a first vapor of a first flavor, and a second state in which the power source provides energy to a second heating element to produce a second vapor of a second flavor. The controller may operate the device in a most recently toggled state based on detection of the draw by a sensor. The switch may be a non-momentary switch, and may extend through an opening in a casing. An indicator assembly may include indicator lights configured to be selectively illuminated based on the device being in the first or second state. The device may be operable in a third state in which energy is provided to the first and second heating elements.

The heater assembly includes a chimney cage extending longitudinally, a heater extending longitudinally within the chimney cage, a heater gauze positioned about an outer circumference of the heater, the chimney case positioned about an outer circumference of the heater gauze, and a cathode clip electrically connected to a first end portion of the heater.
