Inspection devices and methods for inspecting an adhesive pattern on a substrate are disclosed. The inspection device includes at least one sensor having a heat sensor head for detecting a pattern of the adhesive bead, and a controller. Reference data representing a desired adhesive pattern is initially provided to a controller. A predetermined tolerance range for the desired adhesive pattern is also provided to the controller. An adhesive bead is discharged onto a substrate from a nozzle. A pattern of the discharged adhesive bead is then detected by the sensor when the substrate moves. Signals representing the detected pattern are received from the sensor at the controller. Finally, the signals representing the detected adhesive pattern are compared to the tolerance range of the desired adhesive pattern.

An inductive heating device (1) for heating an aerosol-forming substrate (20) comprising a susceptor (21) comprises: a device housing (10) a DC power source (11) for providing a DC supply voltage (V.sub.DC) and a DC current (I.sub.DC) a power supply electronics (13) comprising a DC/AC converter (132), the DC/AC converter (132) comprising an LC load network (1323) comprising a series connection of a capacitor (C2) and an inductor (L2) having an ohmic resistance (R.sub.Coil), a cavity (14) in the device housing (10) for accommodating a portion of the aerosol-forming substrate (20) to inductively couple the inductor (L2) of the LC load network (1323) to the susceptor (21). The power supply electronics (13) further comprises a microcontroller (131) to determine from the DC supply voltage (V.sub.DC) and the DC current (I.sub.DC) an apparent ohmic resistance (R.sub.a), and from the apparent ohmic resistance (R.sub.a) the temperature (T) of the susceptor (21).

Heater Assembly

The present invention relates to a heater assembly for an aerosol generating device. The heater assembly includes a tubular heating chamber and a flexible thin film heater comprising a heating element track supported on a surface of a flexible electrically insulating backing film; wherein the flexible thin film heater is wrapped around an outer surface of the heating chamber with the backing film toward the heating chamber. The invention further includes a temperature sensor comprising a temperature sensing element configured to sense a local temperature, wherein the temperature sensing element is positioned so as to overlap with a portion of heating element track. Because the temperature sensing element overlaps with a portion of the heating element track, the temperature sensor provides a more accurate reading of the temperature of the heating element itself.

Disclosed are electromagnetic cells assembled together. The plurality of Electromagnetic Cells are arranged in an electromagnetic plate, the electromagnetic plate can float or hover. The Electromagnetic Plate comprises an enclosure of a first set of alternating layers of electric and dielectric materials. The plurality of electromagnetic cells, each arranged in an individual socket embedded in the holding element inside the Electromagnetic plate, and each electromagnetic cell is comprised of a second set of alternating layers of electric and dielectric materials, and a holding cup cover that screws in to provide structural integrity and an electromagnetic core including a metal tube and electromagnetic coil. At the opening of the Electromagnetic Cell, a tube mechanism can be added which would allow certain liquids to be inserted inside of the cell. The cells heats up as a result of the electric current flowing through the coil inside of the cell, thus resulting in an increased temperature of such liquid.
