The present disclosure is intended to improve HC purification performance of a catalytic device arranged in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine in a more suitable manner. A microwave absorber is distributed over a predetermined part in a catalytic layer of the catalytic device which is irradiated with a microwave in the exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine. Then, in the predetermined part in the catalytic layer, a content ratio of a first catalytic material, which is one of two kinds of catalytic materials of which HC purification performance is higher than that of the other, is higher than a content ratio of the first catalytic material in the other portion than the predetermined part in the catalytic layer.

METHOD OF ELECTRO-HYDRODYNAMIC PROCESSING OF HYDROCARBON SUBSTANCES AND THE FACILITIES FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION
20200120764 · 2020-04-16 ·

The method of electro-chemical processing of hydrocarbon substances, which includes the stage of conversion of those substances in a mixture with water or electrolyte solution by means of its processing with variable electric current. An electro-chemical processing is carried out by a two-stage treatment, comprising a primary electro-hydrodynamic processing by means of an exposure to high voltage, short-pulse electric current discharges of variable frequency, and also comprising the main electro-hydrodynamic processing, carried out in strongly whirling counterflows of the mixture, in the field with a high radial pressure gradient, by exposing the substance to an intensive cavitation, highly developed turbulence, acoustic pressure vibrations, high-frequency alternating electromagnetic field and secondary short-circuited electric currents induced in the conductive mixture, along with a simultaneous separation of the substances formed. The device for electro-hydrodynamic processing of hydrocarbon substances, containing a block for primary electro-hydrodynamic mixture processing is also described and claimed.

Deploying mineral insulated cable down-hole

Methods, system and devices for deploying an MI cable heater down-hole into a hydrocarbon reservoir are provided, wherein one or more MI cables are housed inside a protective jacket, and connected to a pump-in device. The pump-in device allows the cable to be deployed by pumping fluid down-hole, and the pump-in device catches the fluid and pulls the cable down-hole, even in a horizontal well.

Induction cable, coupling device, and method for producing an induction cable

An induction cable contains a plurality of cable conductors each having a conductor strand surrounded by insulation. The conductor strand contains a plurality of conductor sections which are spaced apart in the longitudinal cable direction at resonance dividing points by insulating intermediate pieces. The induction cable furthermore has a coupling device on which a plurality of the conductor strands are separated forming coupling ends at coupling positions. The coupling ends are connected to each other via the coupling device. A simple providing and installing of the induction cable and a simple replacement of damaged cable parts is thus enabled.

Liquid vaporization device and method

A vaporizer device and associated methodology for providing accurate sampling through substantially efficient, complete and uniform single pass vaporization of a liquid sample by avoiding liquid pre-vaporization and downtime attributable to system damage from incomplete vaporization, particularly in the distribution, transportation, and custody transfer of natural gas. The vaporizer device includes at least one input port for receiving a liquid sample, a channel for directing the liquid to a vaporizer core and a heating assembly within the vaporizer core configured to flash vaporize the liquid sample. The vaporized sample can then be passed to an outlet for sample analysis.

An apparatus, method and system make possible facile recovery of heavy hydro-carbonaceous materials, such as the bitumen from oil sands, asphalt, tars, pitch and other highly viscous hydrocarbons (HCM) from natural deposits of such material and other storage facilities such as tanks and reservoirs where these materials accumulate. The apparatus and system deliver different inputs of radio frequency energy (RF) to a central collector and one or more outer electrodes. Heat generated by the RF input sufficiently softens the HCM so that a suction pump can withdraw if from the collector and deliver it to a desired location typically for transport and/or processing. The addition of an integral mixer or direct injection of solvents into the apparatus can further improve HCM recovery.

Submarine electrical heating system, method to remedy and treat hydrates and use of the said system

A system and method are able to generate and dissipate heat internally to a certain submarine equipment by applying electric power, aiming to aid in the remediation and treatment of hydrate, which was formed in its inside, aiming its effective spreading. The said system is specially suitable to be used in submarine equipments involved in the fluids flowing linked to Oil and Gas Industry, and includes a cavity filled with a fluid suitable for heat transfer, in which a penetrator is installed thereon interlinking an encapsulated resistance to a compensated hose filled with dielectric oil housing inner electrical wires. The said hose has an electrical connector suitable for operating with ROV in its end.
