Harmonic cold plasma device and associated methods
A method for generating atmospheric pressure cold plasma inside a hand-held unit discharges cold plasma with simultaneously different rf wavelengths and their harmonics. The unit includes an rf tuning network that is powered by a low-voltage power supply connected to a series of high-voltage coils and capacitors. The rf energy signal is transferred to a primary containment chamber and dispersed through an electrode plate network of various sizes and thicknesses to create multiple frequencies. Helium gas is introduced into the first primary containment chamber, where electron separation is initiated. The energized gas flows into a secondary magnetic compression chamber, where a balanced frequency network grid with capacitance creates the final electron separation, which is inverted magnetically and exits through an orifice with a nozzle. The cold plasma thus generated has been shown to be capable of accelerating a healing process in flesh wounds on animal laboratory specimens.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT USING NON-THERMAL PLASMA
An array of non-thermal plasma emitters is controlled to emit plasma based on application of an electric current at desired frequencies and a controlled power level. A power supply for an array controller includes a transformer that operates at the resonant frequency of the combined capacitance of the array and the cable connecting the array to the power supply. The power into the array is monitored by the controller and can be adjusted by the user. The controller monitors reflected power characteristics, such as harmonics of the alternating current, to determine initiation voltage of the plasma and/or resonant frequency plasma emitters. The array of non-thermal plasma emitters may be used in therapeutic, diagnostic, and/or medical sanitization applications, including where a non-thermal plasma treatment regimen is prescribed according to a prescription setting.

Magnetic latch connector assembly
A connector is configured to electrically connect a plasma emitter array with an identification chip to a power supply controller, and to further mechanically support the emitter device supporting the array during use. Cooperating components of the connector and emitter device form a magnetic latch assembly: the connector includes one or more magnets flush with a top receiving surface of the connector, and one or more alignment pegs extending outward from the receiving surface; the emitter device includes a steel plate attached to a substrate, and one or more holes disposed through the plate and the substrate. The holes align with the alignment pegs and the magnets attract the plate and secure the emitter device against the top receiving surface. Electrical contacts of the connector establish electrical communication with the identification chip, providing power to the emitter device and enabling the controller to read data stored in the identification chip.

Confocal chromatic metrology for EUV source condition monitoring
A light source includes a rotatable drum to be coated with xenon ice and illuminated by a laser beam to produce a plasma. The drum may also be translatable. The light source further includes a confocal chromatic sensor to measure distances from the confocal chromatic sensor to the rotatable drum. The confocal chromatic sensor may include a sensor head to focus light onto the rotatable drum and to detect reflected light from the rotatable drum. The sensor head and the rotatable drum may be disposed within a vacuum chamber.
Non-thermal plasma generator for detection and treatment of maladies
A single non-thermal atmospheric plasma generation device is used to detect and analyze vital fields of a living subject to determine the presence of a condition, such as an illness or injury, and responsively modify characteristics of the plasma to treat, heal, or alleviate the condition. The device includes a capacitance dielectric discharge array of plasma emitters, and a controller having a power supply, a transformer, and circuit components for driving the transformer at a resonant frequency of the plasma emitters to cause the plurality of plasma emitters to ionize surrounding air and produce the non-thermal plasma. The resonant frequency is around 60 GHz and harmonics thereof. A receiver of the device recovers frequency mixing products from the plasma, which are extracted by signal processing circuitry; signals in the VHF and UHF bands are extracted and analyzed to determine whether signatures of particular vital fields are present.
