A method for manufacturing a circuit board includes providing an insulating substrate, defining a through hole in the insulating substrate, forming a first conductive layer on two surfaces of the insulating substrate and on an inner wall of the through hole, forming a phase change material layer on a surface of each first conductive layer, forming a seed layer on a surface of the first conductive layer, forming a second conductive layer on a surface of the seed layer, and etching the seed layer, the first conductive layer, and the second conductive layer, so that a first conductive circuit layer and a second conductive circuit layer are respectively formed on two opposite surfaces of the insulating substrate, so that the phase change material layer is embedded in the first conductive circuit layer and in the second conductive circuit layer. The application also provides a circuit board.

A Printed Circuit Board (PCB) includes a via extending through at least one layer of the PCB. The PCB may also include a first catch pad connected to the via and located within a first metal layer of the PCB. The first catch pad may have a first size. The PCB may further include a second catch pad connected to the via and located within a second metal layer of the PCB. The second catch pad may have a second size greater than the first size. The second catch pad may overlap horizontally with a portion of a metallic feature in the first metal layer to obstruct light incident on a first side of the PCB from transmission to a second side of the PCB through a region of dielectric material near the via.

Electronic device

An electronic device includes a circuit board and an electric element mounted on the circuit board. The electric element includes a multilayer body made of electrically insulating base materials, a transmission line portion, and connection portions. The transmission line portion and the connection portions are provided in the multilayer body. Each of the connection portions is continuous with a corresponding portion of the transmission line portion, and is connected to the circuit board by an electrically conductive bonding material. The transmission line portion other than the connection portions is not electrically connected to an electronic component on the circuit board. The electronic component not electrically connected to the electric element is disposed between the transmission line portion of the electric element and the circuit board.

A high-speed circuit includes a printed circuit board, a ground plane layer, a pair of first and second differential traces, and a cascading common mode filter. The printed circuit board has a first surface and an opposite second surface. The ground plane layer has a first surface in contact with the second surface of the printed circuit board. The pair of first and second differential traces are on the first surface of the printed circuit board. The first and second differential traces carry an electrical signal. The cascading common mode filter includes an outer and an inner common mode filter. The outer common mode filter includes a U-shaped void section on the first surface of the ground plane layer. The inner common mode filter includes an H-shaped void section on the first surface of the ground plane layer. The H-shaped void section is located proximate to the U-shaped void section.

A circuit board having a plurality of conductive layers including a first conductive layer and a second conductive layer is provided. The circuit board includes a plurality of non-conductive layers in-between respective conductive layers of the plurality of conductive layers. The plurality of non-conductive layers include at least a first non-conductive layer disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. At least one collapsed stud bump extends at least partially through the first non-conductive layer to electrically couple the first conductive layer to the second conductive layer.

An electrical connector is provided. The electrical connector is to be attached to a cloth in which a conductive pattern is formed. The electrical connector includes an insulating housing having a boss portion provided on a surface of the housing, where the surface is to be in contact with the cloth, and the boss portion is inserted into the cloth; a connection terminal provided to the housing; and a conductive pad provided around the boss portion on the surface of the housing, where the surface is to be in contact with the cloth, and the conductive pad is electrically connected to the connection terminal. The conductive pad has a protrusion protruding in the same direction as the boss portion of the housing protrudes.
