CABINET AND SERVER HAVING THE CABINET

A cabinet and a server having the cabinet are disclosed, the cabinet includes a housing, two trays, an elastic piece, and a limiting piece. The trays are arranged in parallel and capable of sliding out of an opening or retracting in the housing. The elastic piece is connected to the housing and arranged between the trays. The limiting piece is connected to the elastic piece and arranged between the trays, each of the trays defines a hole corresponding to the limiting piece, each of the trays includes a protrusion. When one of the trays slides out of the opening, the protrusion slides to the limiting piece and pushes the limiting piece into the hole of the other tray; when the tray retracts in the housing, the protrusion slides away from the limiting piece, the elastic piece elastically recover the limiting piece to separate from the hole.

The transport caster has a mounting plate, a mounting bracket extending from the mounting plate, a lifting plate pivotally connected to the mounting plate, a lifting lever pivotally connected to the mounting bracket and a wheel assembly. The transport caster bracket secures the transport caster to the cabinet when relocation of the cabinet is desired.

The lever mechanism includes a lever component partially located between the case module and the detachable module, and an abutting component fixed on the case module. When the lever component is operated to pivot relative to the detachable module, the lever component cooperates with the abutting component in a contacting manner to drive the detachable module to slide, so as to disengage the electrical connector of the detachable module from the mating electrical connector of the circuit board.

The lateral opening has a bottom edge that is aligned with the raised floor in order to transfer a rack information handling system (RIHS) through the lateral opening for a selected one of: (i) removing the RIHSs from the raised floor; and (ii) delivering the RIHS to the raised floor. The data center includes a pallet interface coupled to or integrated into an exterior edge of the raised floor and vertically presented to abut and engage a lateral edge of a roll-off rack shock pallet that supports the RIHS during transport.

An amount of float for the second portion is based on a bay pitch of the bay.
