Medical Suction Devices and Uses Thereof
Provided is a medical suction device including a compressible object comprising a surface, an opening in the surface, and a lumen defined by the surface and the opening, along with a tubular member located inside the compressible object. Also provided is a medical suction apparatus including the medical suction device and a catheter dimensioned to fit inside the tubular member of the device. A method of removing liquid from the throat of a subject using the medical suction apparatus is also provided, as well as kits including the medical suction device.
Anesthetized Catheter, Indication System and Methods of Administering, Removing and Testing Substances
An anesthetized catheter that includes the ability to administer substances and remove substances via the catheter orifice as well as pericatheter with the option of using wireless technology, while also having an indication system.
Reduced pressure treatment appliance
A wound treatment appliance is provided for treating all or a portion of a wound. In some embodiments, the appliance comprises an impermeable flexible overlay that covers all or a portion of the wound for purposes of applying a reduced pressure to the covered portion of the wound. In other embodiments, the impermeable flexible overlay comprises suction assistance means, such as channels, which assist in the application of reduced pressure to the area of the wound and removal of exudate from the wound. In other embodiments, the wound treatment appliance also includes a vacuum system to supply reduced pressure to the wound in the area under the flexible overlay. In yet other embodiments, the wound treatment appliance also includes wound packing means to prevent overgrowth of the wound or to encourage growth of the wound tissue into an absorbable matrix comprising the wound packing means. In still other embodiments, the appliance may include a suction drain. In other embodiments, the appliance may include a collection chamber to collect and store exudate from the wound. In yet other embodiments, a suction bulb may be used to provide a source of reduced pressure to an impermeable overlay that covers all or a portion of the wound. Finally, methods are provided for using various embodiments of the wound treatment appliance.
CUPPING AUXILIARY CONSUMABLE, CUPPING KIT, AND CUPPING METHOD
A cupping auxiliary consumable used in conjunction with one of the Chinese Medicine techniques, cupping. The characteristics include: a sanitary blood-absorbent pad suitable to insert into a cup during cupping treatment, and when applied, the layer against the human skin is made of a material that is permeable to blood. A cup kit for cupping is also provided, including: a cup and a sanitary blood-absorbent pad inserted into the cup. The cup can also include an adhesive surface connecting the cup and the skin; a releasing layer to protect the adhesive surface. The cupping operation can be carried out easily, the blood is absorbed into the blood-absorbent pad, thus will not soil the cup, keeping the entire cupping process hygienic.
Modifiable occlusive skin dressing
Occlusive tissue dressings and methods including an elastomeric drape and a liquid component, at least partially cross-linked at least after one of drying and curing, suitable for application at a dressing-to-skin interface in order to create a substantially air-tight seal. The same or a different liquid component may be applied by a user at a tube-to-dressing interface in order to create a similar air-tight seal around the tube, if not occlusively sealed during its manufacture.
UNIFORM INTERNAL DIAMETER FLUID DRAINAGE DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A uniform internal diameter drainage system is disclosed. The system comprises a drainage catheter with large French drains and an internal diameter that progressively expands to a uniform internal diameter of the system. The catheter comprises a receiving port in fluid-tight communication with an engaging port of a hub, which comprises a first end, second end and flush port. The second end engages the catheter and the internal diameter of the catheter and the second end are substantially uniform. The first end comprises a receiving port that engages an engaging port of a drainage line and internal diameter of the drainage line and the first end of the system of the present invention are substantially uniform. A flush valve is disposed between the first end and second end of the present system to flush fluids from the system as needed.
Methods and Systems for Sterilizing Surgical Drains
Systems and methods for decontaminating a surgical drain and its reservoir are provided. An apparatus is provided in the form of a container having an interior chamber and an expansible opening to the interior chamber for insertion of a surgical drain therethrough. Ultraviolet light emitters are disposed within the interior chamber to emit beams of ultraviolet radiation at the surgical drain and/or its reservoir, thereby killing or neutralizing bacteria and fungus on the drain. Walls forming the expansible opening are collapsible to abut a portion of the inserted drain when inserted into the apparatus, and a fluid tight seal is formed between the drain and the apparatus.

Efficient Carrying Portable Constant Negative Pressure Suction Apparatus for Outdoor Use
The present efficient support portable constant negative pressure suction apparatus for outdoor use includes: a negative pressure suction ball extending from the proximal end to the distal end, the negative pressure suction ball being provided with an internal sac structure; the internal sac structure includes: a round gas exhaust valve, a spherical sac, and an anti-reverse flow flap arranged in sequence from the proximal end to the distal end; and also including: a negative pressure suction tube, the negative pressure suction tube being in communication with the negative pressure suction ball and the negative pressure suction tube being provided with a suction control channel.
CRANIOSPINAL SURGICAL DRAIN
A central nervous system drain drains the subdural space intracranially or the postoperative epidural space in the spine. The drain includes one or more lumens that communicate with the outside environment through openings in the distal portion of the drain. The drain also includes a flat bottom wall without any openings which is placed on the brain surface in the subdural space intracranially or the epidural surface in the spinal canal after a laminectomy. The openings in the top wall and/or side surface walls allow for drainage of fluid and/or blood in the subdural space or postoperative wound in the spine.
