Flexible reduced pressure treatment appliance
A wound treatment appliance is provided for treating all or a portion of a wound. In some embodiments, the appliance comprises an impermeable flexible overlay that covers all or a portion of the wound for purposes of applying a reduced pressure to the covered portion of the wound. In other embodiments, the impermeable flexible overlay comprises suction assistance means, such as channels, which assist in the application of reduced pressure to the area of the wound and removal of exudate from the wound. In other embodiments, the wound treatment appliance also includes a vacuum system to supply reduced pressure to the wound in the area under the flexible overlay. In yet other embodiments, the wound treatment appliance also includes wound packing means to prevent overgrowth of the wound or to encourage growth of the wound tissue into an absorbable matrix comprising the wound packing means. In still other embodiments, the appliance may include a suction drain. In other embodiments, the appliance may include a collection chamber to collect and store exudate from the wound. In yet other embodiments, a suction bulb may be used to provide a source of reduced pressure to an impermeable overlay that covers all or a portion of the wound. Finally, methods are provided for using various embodiments of the wound treatment appliance.
Methods and systems for sterilizing surgical drains
Systems and methods for decontaminating a surgical drain and its reservoir are provided. An apparatus is provided in the form of a container having an interior chamber and an expansible opening to the interior chamber for insertion of a surgical drain therethrough. Ultraviolet light emitters are disposed within the interior chamber to emit beams of ultraviolet radiation at the surgical drain and/or its reservoir, thereby killing or neutralizing bacteria and fungus on the drain. Walls forming the expansible opening are collapsible to abut a portion of the inserted drain when inserted into the apparatus, and a fluid tight seal is formed between the drain and the apparatus.
Drain support apron
A drain support apron (1) having a main panel (2) with a plurality of pockets (9) located thereon that provide storage for one or more drain bulbs (10). The drain apron is preferably worn around a patient's midsection.
Device for drawing and expelling a liquid or powder
A device includes: a base; and an applicator tip, wherein the base and applicator tip are removably connected to each other via a connection, and wherein the device draws and expels a liquid or powder by alternating an increase and decrease of pressure within the device. The device can be used as a nasal aspirator, applicator, or baster for food products. The applicator tip and base can be removably connected to each other via a threaded connection or snap-fit connection. Force applied to the base decreases the volume of the base to create a pressure differential to draw and expel the liquid or powder from the device.
Sensor-controlled nasal aspirator
The present disclosure illustrates a sensor-controlled nasal aspirator including a distance sensing unit, a micro processing unit and an air pump. The distance sensing unit is configured to sense a distance between a target object and the distance sensing unit. The micro processing unit is configured to store a preset distance, and receive and process the distance transmitted from the distance sensing unit, and transmit an action command signal when the distance is not higher than the preset distance. The air pump is configured to receive the action command signal and performs a target action according to the action command signal.
Flexible reduced pressure treatment appliance
A wound treatment appliance is provided for treating all or a portion of a wound. In some embodiments, the appliance includes an impermeable flexible overlay for applying a reduced pressure to the covered portion of the wound. The wound treatment appliance may also include a vacuum system to supply reduced pressure to the wound in the area under the flexible overlay, a wound packing means to prevent overgrowth of the wound or to encourage growth of the wound tissue into an absorbable matrix including the wound packing means, a suction drain, a collection chamber to collect and store exudate from the wound, and/or a suction bulb which may be used to provide a source of reduced pressure to an impermeable overlay that covers all or a portion of the wound. Finally, methods are provided for using various embodiments of the wound treatment appliance.
DRAIN SUPPORT APRON
A drain support apron (1) having a main panel (2) with a plurality of pockets (9) located thereon that provide storage for one or more drain bulbs (10). The drain apron is preferably worn around a patient's midsection.
Support device for a drain system used in post-surgical procedures
A support device configured to support post-surgical drain bulbs at locations adjacent to a body of a wearer. The support device including a band of flexible material having a first end and a second end defining a band length there between, the band further including a pair of D-rings positioned proximate to the first end of the band and sized to accommodate a portion of the band proximate to the second end of the band, one or more snap fastener parts positioned proximate to the second end of the band and configured to selectively couple to one or more snap fastener counterparts positioned along the band length between the first end and the second end, and a band of hook and loop fastener material fixedly coupled to an outer surface of the band along the length of the band from a point proximate to the first end to a point proximate to the second end and configured to selectively couple to one or more securement members comprised of a counterpart to the hook and loop fastener material.
NASAL ASPIRATOR
An aspiration device is described, including a bulb aspirator including a bulb body, a first collar and tip, the bulb body includes an upper portion configured for receiving one end of the first collar and lower portion configured for receiving in a first configuration a stop and in a second different configuration a second collar associated with a suction tube, the tip is configured for insertion into a passageway; the stop being configured for detachable connection to the lower portion of the bulb body when in the first configuration; and the suction tube including the second collar, a tube portion and an adaptor, the second collar is disposed at a first end of the suction tube and being adapted to be coupled to the lower portion of the bulb body, the adaptor is configured to adapt to a human mouth to enable suction to be applied at the adaptor.
