A display device comprises an organic EL substrate including an organic EL layer formed on a flexible substrate and a first main surface of the flexible substrate; a film covering a display region of the organic EL substrate; and a terminal region arranged at an end portion of the organic EL substrate, and arranged adjacent to and apart from an end portion of the film. The end portion of the film may have a taper region. A thickness of the taper region increases with distance from the terminal region in a cross-sectional view. A width of the taper region may be 0.5 times or more and 1.5 times or less of the film thickness in a plan view.

A method of manufacturing a display apparatus includes: preparing a mother substrate; forming a concave portion, which comprises a first concave portion defined on a first surface of the mother substrate and a second concave portion defined on a second surface opposite to the first surface; reinforcing the mother substrate; and cutting the mother substrate in a lengthwise direction of the concave portion. A reinforcement thickness, which is a thickness of a reinforced part of a non-concave portion of the mother substrate from the first surface, is greater than half a value obtained by subtracting a depth of the first concave portion and a depth of the second concave portion, from a thickness of the non-concave portion of the mother substrate.

A substrate-cutting method includes preparing a first substrate in which a plurality of first active areas spaced apart from each other and a first non-active area surrounding the first active areas are defined in a plane, forming an adhesive layer on the first substrate where the adhesive layer is disposed within the first active areas, disposing a second substrate in which a plurality of second active areas spaced apart from each other and a second non-active area surrounding the second active areas are defined in the plane, and cutting a cutting line of the second substrate, which corresponds to a boundary between the second active areas and the second non-active area, using a laser beam. The adhesive layer does not overlap the cutting line of the second substrate.

A display substrate, a manufacturing method thereof and a display apparatus are disclosed. The display substrate includes a silicon base substrate and a color film layer disposed on the silicon base substrate. A plurality of metal traces for connecting a display area and a cathode ring with a bonding area respectively are contained in the silicon base substrate. The color film layer includes a first align mark, and the first align mark has a hollowed-out structure. A projection of the first align mark on the silicon base substrate and projections of the metal traces on the silicon base substrate include overlapping areas.
