A BODY FLUID DRAINAGE DEVICE
A body fluid drainage device for draining a fluid from a body cavity is provided. The device comprises, a channel switching module for coupling to a fluid containment device, the channel switching module for controlling a direction of flow of the fluid with respect to the fluid containment device; a flow rate actuator for coupling to the fluid containment device, the flow rate actuator for controlling a rate of fluid flow into the fluid containment device; a processing module coupled to the channel switching module, the processing module being configured to control a fluid flow between the body cavity and the fluid containment device and to control a fluid flow from the fluid containment device using the channel switching module; and wherein the processing module is capable of controlling the fluid flow between the body cavity and the fluid containment device based on a pre-determined fluid volume in the fluid containment device. The fluid containment device may be optionally provided.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASPIRATION AND MONITORING
A system for aspiration includes an aspiration catheter including an elongate shaft including an aspiration lumen, and an open distal end, an extension tube, the lumen of the extension tube configured to be hydraulically coupled to the aspiration lumen, a peristaltic pump configured for driving fluid through the extension tube, a compressible portion disposed between the distal end and the proximal end of the extension tube, the compressible portion configured to be coupled to the peristaltic pump, such that operation of the peristaltic pump drives fluid from the aspiration lumen from the distal end of the extension tube to the proximal end of the extension tube, and a controller configured to receive a first signal from the first sensor and configured to vary the operation of the peristaltic pump based at least in part on a first signal received from a first sensor coupled to the aspiration lumen or extension tube related to a change in the characteristic of flow.
COLOSTRUM COLLECTION DEVICE
A syringe receptacle device for collecting a liquid from an extraction device, a cylindrical barrel, and a plunger. The barrel has an inner circumferential surface that extends between opposite first and second ends. The first end of the barrel is adapted to be removably coupled to the extraction device. The plunger is slidably coupled to the barrel and includes a plunger head and an actuating rod. The plunger head is frictionally engaged with the inner circumferential surface of the barrel. The actuating rod is fixedly attached to the plunger head an extends out through the second of the barrel.
Compact sound suppressing muffler for breast vacuum pumps
A sound suppression system for reducing or eliminating sound produced by the operation of a breast vacuum pump includes a sound suppressing muffler assembly having an air entry port adapted to communicate with an air outlet port of a vacuum pump or other air flow generating device. The sound suppressing muffler assembly also includes a muffler housing defining an internal space communicating with the air entry port, and an opening in the housing leading to atmosphere. The muffler housing has a tortuous air path in the muffler housing. In one embodiment, sound absorbing porous foam structure is disposed in the tortuous air path. The at least one sound absorbing porous structure absorbs sound energy from the air as the air moves through the at least one air path toward the opening in the muffler housing. In further embodiments, a tortuous air path is provided between an air entry port and an opening to atmosphere in the muffler assembly.
Vacuum cartridge with integrated valve
Methods and devices for treatment of damaged tissue are disclosed, including treatment of wounds by employing non-electrically powered, reduced pressure therapy devices. Maintenance and control of the sub atmospheric pressure exerted may be provided by such devices while minimizing discomfort to the user. The devices may be configured to be worn inconspicuously underneath clothing.
Multiport syringe system for use with a urinary catheter
A medical syringe with at least three ports, in conjunction with a urinary catheter, can be used for closed manual irrigation of a bladder. The three syringe ports are located on a port body. Each of the three syringe ports can be manually selected by rotating a barrel that has a closed end located inside the cup-shaped port body. Rotation of the barrel inside the port body occurs about an axis that is aligned with the central axis of the hollow cylindrical barrel. The system is configured to selectively fill the syringe with an input fluid, irrigate the bladder by passing fluid into and out of the urinary catheter, and drain bladder contents into a drainage vessel without ever needing to remove the syringe from the catheter.

VIBRATORY WAVEFORM FOR BREAST PUMP
A method for facilitating milk extraction from a female breast may involve applying a breast contacting portion of a breast pump system to a breast, activating the breast pump system to administer multiple breast pumping cycles, and applying vibrations to the breast during at least a portion of each of the breast pumping cycles, using a vibration device. A vibration generating device may be a component of a breast pump system, an added attachment on a breast pump system or a separate component that works in conjunction with a breast pump system.
