20210196248 · 2021-07-01 ·

A device and method for aspirating bone barrow. The device includes a double syringe assembly having a distal syringe and a proximal syringe coupled to the distal syringe. A plunger includes a distal end disposed within a barrel of the distal syringe and a proximal end disposed within a barrel of the proximal syringe. A needle assembly is coupled to the double syringe assembly and includes a needle having an outer tube and an inner tube disposed within the outer tube. Upon actuation of the plunger, the distal syringe aspirates bone marrow through the outer tube of the needle and into a chamber of the distal syringe. At the same time, the proximal syringe injects fluid through the inner tube of the needle at the same rate in which the bone marrow is aspirated.

NEGATIVE PRESSURE PUMPS AND RELATED METHODS

Devices and systems disclosed herein may include a negative pressure pump that includes a reservoir defining a lumen and a longitudinal axis, a piston, and a drive assembly comprising a spring. Motion of the spring may move the piston along the longitudinal axis of the reservoir to create a negative pressure within the reservoir. Methods of manufacturing a negative pressure pump and using a negative pressure pump to remove fluid from a target site are also described.

Reduced pressure tissue therapy device

Disclosed herein are devices and methods for reduced pressure tissue therapy. Some variations of suction devices for reduced pressure tissue therapy comprise a housing, a suction force generating mechanism located within the housing, and a storage module configured to retain tissue exudates. In some variations, the storage module includes a sleeve configured to collect tissue exudates. The sleeve may include a support element to help maintain the lateral structural integrity of the sleeve and/or retain the cross-sectional geometry of the sleeve under negative pressure. In use, the storage module may reduce sanitary and/or biohazard risks by preventing the exudates from contacting the housing and/or suction force generating mechanism. The storage module is configured to be replaced so that the housing and suction force generating mechanism can be used for more than one session.

Example embodiments may include an apparatus for providing negative-pressure therapy with a push-to-release actuator. The actuator may be a key insertable through a keyway in the apparatus to engage a movable barrier, such as a piston. The actuator may also be used to lock the barrier in a primed position. Pressing on the actuator can release the barrier and activate the apparatus for negative-pressure therapy. In some examples, the actuator may comprise a shaft, a latch, and a spring biasing the latch toward the shaft. The latch may comprise an opening toward a proximal end of the shaft. The apparatus may comprise a receptacle for receiving the actuator, and a keeper may disposed within the receptacle for coupling to the latch. In some embodiments, the keeper may comprise a base protruding from the wall, and a ledge extending from the base toward the second aperture.

Medical aspirator having constant suction pressure

Provided is a medical aspirator including a hollow cylinder housing having a space therein, a piston slidable inside the cylinder housing in a longitudinal direction, and an elastic member having one end connected to the piston and the other end fixed to the cylinder housing, and allowing the piston to move in the longitudinal direction with a constant force, in which after the medical aspirator is installed in a surgical site, a constant suction pressure is maintained, so that side effects and accidents such as organ adhesion and tissue damage in a surgical site, resulting from an excessive pressure, are reduced, and body fluid in the surgical site is effectively discharged, so that the medical aspirator may contribute to shortening of a recovery period of a patient. Further, the present disclosure relates to a medical aspirator including an upper housing constituting an upper body, a lower housing constituting a lower body, a sealing film coupled along outer surfaces of the upper housing and the lower housing and having a space formed in the sealing film, and a screw thread connector connecting the upper housing and the lower housing and having a screw thread, in which after the medical aspirator is installed in a surgical site, a constant suction pressure is maintained, so that side effects and accidents such as organ adhesion and tissue damage in a surgical site, resulting from an excessive pressure, are reduced, and body fluid in the surgical site is effectively discharged, so that the medical aspirator may contribute to shortening of a recovery period of a patient.

BABY/INFANT/TODDLER NASAL ASPIRATOR

Provided is a manually operated nasal aspirator having an elongated cylinder body and a piston. The cylinder body has a sidewall, a nozzle at a forward end, and an elongated slot extending longitudinally in the sidewall to a rearward end. The piston is configured to slide within the cylinder body between first and second positions and has an actuator laterally extending therefrom through the elongated slot. The piston is manually movable between the first and second positions by a user and is not biased by any other means so that it will rest at all positions between the first and second positions when not being manually manipulated. The cylinder has a length sufficient to fully contain the piston therein in both the first and second positions.

PORTABLE PUMP FOR NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY

A portable pump is provided for negative pressure wound therapy for drawing a vacuum from a wound site via a tube. The pump includes an inlet configured to attach the tube from the wound site; a canister in fluid communication with the inlet for collecting fluids drained from the wound site; and a manually-actuated pump mechanism for creating the vacuum.
