Helmet Impact Self-Controlled Restrainer (HISCOR) for Protecting Football Players Head from Trauma and Concussion Injury
The invention is intended to protect football players, race car drivers and others. An apparatus that dampens impacts and prevents rapid movement of user's head protected by helmets. Two embodiments are disclosed using piston configuration. In one embodiment, the piston is moving inside a housing filled with a viscoelastic fluid and the other is a locking piston dampener mechanism.
SMART SAFETY HELMET WITH HEADS-UP DISPLAY
A safety system is configured to be worn by a user. The safety system includes a helmet, a transparent display screen coupled to the helmet and configured to provide eye safety for the user, the transparent display screen configured to display graphical information to the user in substantially real time. According to one embodiment, if a hazard is identified in a first route, the apparatus communicates an identification of the hazard for display to the user via the transparent display screen. Further, if the hazard is identified in the first route, the apparatus communicates an identification of a second route for display to the user via the transparent display screen, the second route avoiding the hazard with each of the first route and the second route rendered in the transparent display screen. According to various embodiments, the apparatus operates in substantially real time to evaluate conditions in the first route based on information provided by the at least one sensing system to determine whether the hazard exists.
Bicycle image capturing device and controller for bicycle image capturing device
A bicycle image capturing device is provided that reduces annoying operations for changing an operation state. The bicycle image capturing device includes a controller. The controller includes a reception unit and an electronic control unit. The reception unit is configured to obtain information related to a component of a bicycle. The bicycle component is operable in at least a first state and a second state that differs from the first state. The electronic control unit is configured to control a first image capturing unit based on the information obtained by the reception unit.
HELMET WITH IMPACT TRACKING
A helmet for tracking impact including at least one sensor, a processor in communication with the sensor and a storage file in communication with the processor, the at least one sensor measures a force applied to the helmet and sends a signal to the processor indicative of the measured force. The processor receives the signal indicative of the measured force and compares the measured force to a predetermined value, wherein if the measured force exceeds the predetermined value data is sent to the storage file to record the measured force. The helmet can include an alarm system and/or an injury tracking system.
