A protective head support assembly, including a helmet having one or more sensors, a vest, at least one stabilizer tube filled with a fluid, including a first end connected to the helmet, and a second end connected to the vest, and a transducer arranged to receive a signal from the one or more sensors and introduce a magnetic field to the fluid.

VEHICLE SIGNAL AND LIGHTING SYSTEM CONFIGURABLE TO VARIOUS ARTICLES AND APPAREL
20190315268 · 2019-10-17 ·

Vehicle signaling configurable to various articles and apparel is provided. An example system allows a user to dynamically assign vehicle signals for activating brake lights, turn signals, running lights, headlights, police emergency lights, and so forth, to user-selected lights built into articles and apparel. Vehicle signals may be wirelessly assigned to lights on articles and apparel through a smart phone application, or other portable software means. The system forms a self-managing wireless network, to which the user can add any number of additional illuminated articles and pieces of illuminated apparel, which are automatically sensed and integrated. An example helmet spoiler, for example, has a receiver for processing a wireless signal from a vehicle, to actuate brake lights, turn signals, headlights, and the like on the spoiler itself. In a police implementation, a helmet actuates police flashers on the helmet based on an assigned wireless signal from a police vehicle.

Helmet for communications

A helmet for communications comprising: a helmet member for at least partially covering the user's head; a strap for extending around the user's lower jaw and thereby securing the helmet member to the user; wherein the strap comprises a transducer unit for contacting the user's lower jaw and thereby transmitting vibrations to the user.

Method of providing decorative designs and structural features on an article of footwear

The invention relates to footwear and portions thereof having structural features and decorative designs thereon, and related systems and methods for manufacturing same. An exemplary method for providing a feature on a surface of an object includes positioning a laser proximate the surface of the object, directing a laser beam from the laser to the surface of the object to mark or engrave at least a portion of the surface of the object, and moving at least one of the laser and the object to create a pattern on the surface of the object, the pattern providing at least one of an aesthetic and a structural feature on the surface of the object.

Welding helmet configuration providing real-time fume exposure warning capability

Welding helmets, systems, and kits providing real-time fume exposure monitoring and warning capability during an arc welding process. A welding helmet configured to protect the head of a user during a welding process is configured with an intelligent warning apparatus and an air-sampling pick-up and output port. The air-sampling pickup and output port connects to a proximal end of an air sampling tube for sampling breathable air within the welding helmet, and a distal end of the air-sampling tube connects to an air-sampling in-take port of an external aerosol monitoring device. The intelligent warning apparatus communicates with the aerosol monitoring device to receive air sample output data from the aerosol monitoring device, and to process the air sample output data to generate warning data and/or warning signals based on preset exposure level set points and/or exposure warning operating modes.
