Protective helmet
A protective helmet including a visor attached to the external sides of the helmet shell and a catch strip running along a top portion of the visor, spanning at least a portion of the visor. The catch strip protrudes from the visor such that it can prevent a cloth helmet cover from easily sliding off the helmet. The catch strip is attached to the front side of the visor, opposite the shell, such that the catch strip is not in a field of vision of a user when wearing the helmet.
Helmet safety lighting system
An illuminable helmet assembly is disclosed. The helmet assembly may include a helmet body having an outer shell, an energy management layer and a fit system. A light diffuser is coupled to an outer surface of the helmet body, the diffuser having an illumination surface with an outer perimeter and defining a footprint of the illumination surface extending inward from the illumination surface to a center of the helmet body. A light source is positioned adjacent to and in some cases outside of the outer perimeter and the footprint of the illumination surface. The light source is positioned to emit light toward the illumination surface at an acute angle to the illumination surface.
WEARABLE DEVICE
The invention features methods and devices for controlling bleeding from blood vessels that may be damaged as a result of trauma or impact with an object, such as a bullet or shrapnel. The device may be wearable by a user and include one or more components, such as wound sealant and multiple inflatable balloons/bladders. The device may be integrated into a garment, e.g., a vest, jacket, trousers, or full body suit. Once triggered (automatically or manually), the device may be used to deliver wound sealant to a wound site and/or pressure to the wound site by selective inflation of one or more balloons over exsanguinating blood vessels that may be damaged, thereby stopping or minimizing the bleeding. Alternatively, or in addition, the device may be used to stabilize a wounded wearer for, e.g., transportation purposes, or to provide buoyancy. Devices of the invention may also be used as a blood pressure monitor, as a massaging device, and as a breast pump. Devices and methods of the invention may also be used for repairing or stabilizing machines, such as vehicles (e.g., automobiles and boats).
ELECTRIFIED GARMENT AND METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING POWER IN AN ELECTRIFIED GARMENT
A garment with electrical components is described. The garment comprises a garment body, a power management unit, at least one battery operatively connected to the power management unit, at least one electrical element operatively connected to the power management unit, the electrical element being connected to the at least one battery via the power management unit, and an electrical connection operatively connected to the power management unit for connecting the power management unit to a power supply external to the garment, the power management unit being operable to select between a distribution of power from at least the at least one electrical connection to at least one of the at least one electrical element and the at least one battery, and the at least one battery to the electrical element. A vehicle and garment system and a method for distributing power in a garment are also disclosed.
HELMET WITH INTEGRATED SENSORS
A ballistic helmet system having an integrated circuit layer electrically coupled to one or more powered devices, where the ballistic helmet is configured to operate and control the powered devices. The ballistic helmet system comprises a base layer configured to retain the circuit layer. The circuit layer comprises one or more circuit substrates, which may be formed of a flexible material capable of withstanding elevated temperatures that may result from the bonding and curing process of the helmet components.

Intelligent LED lighted bicycle helmet
An intelligent bicycle helmet apparatus is provided with a front left light assembly including front left turn signal lights and front left indicators; a front right light assembly including front right turn signal lights and front right indicators; a rear light assembly including indicators; left and right light assemblies; rear left turn signal lights; rear left brake lights; rear right turn signal lights; rear right brake lights; a LED device including the rear light assembly, the rear left and right turn signal lights, the rear left and right brake lights, the front left turn signal lights, the front left and right indicators, and the front right turn signal lights; a MCU electrically connected to the LED device; buzzers electrically connected to the MCU; a speed indicator electrically connected to the
MCU; a head angle indicator electrically connected to the MCU; and a rechargeable battery.
Safety light helmet
A safety light helmet is a helmet with a light affixed to the top center of the helmet for 360-degree visibility by other riders and vehicles when passing a rider wearing the helmet. The safety light detaches immediately during a collision without causing injury to the rider. The safety light helmet has a plurality of light bulbs operative for displaying a plurality of light patterns. The light is rechargeable.
Head-mounted physiological signal monitoring system, devices and methods
Hat, helmet, and other headgear apparatus includes dry electrophysiological electrodes and, optionally, other physiological and/or environmental sensors to measure signals such as ECG from the head of a subject. Methods of use of such apparatus to provide fitness, health, or other measured or derived, estimated, or predicted metrics are also disclosed.
Helmet with removable padding element
A helmet is disclosed having a padding element removably constrained to the shell and provided with a first seat so that a first protrusion integral with the shell is reversibly engaged, reversible male-female coupling members to reversibly couple the shell and the padding element, which are adapted to define a hinge point for the relative rotation between the shell and the padding element. The helmet has restraining members to selectively restrain and release the first protrusion in and from the first seat. The restraining members are movable between a first restraint position to restrain the first protrusion in the first seat, so that the relative rotation between the shell and the padding element is prevented. A second disengagement position of the first protrusion from the first seat is also provided so that the relative rotation between the shell and the padding element is allowed.
