Helmet and method for manufacturing thereof
A helmet comprising a first protective layer, the first protective layer comprising at least one accessory mount portion for receiving an accessory mount or an accessory, the at least one accessory mount portion being arranged integrally as a part of the first protective layer and configured to disintegrate from the rest of the first protective layer in response to a mechanical impact to the at least one accessory mount portion for preventing the accessory mount portion and/or the accessory from penetrating through the helmet.
SYSTEM FOR AUGMENTED REALITY
A system for augmented reality comprises a helmet and a container body within which a video unit is housed that comprises a device for acquiring images of a real scene and a display device for displaying at least the aforementioned images. A support body is, furthermore, provided configured to engage the container body to the helmet. The container body and the support body are provided with respective first and second engagement members configured to selectively and alternatively removably engage the container body to the support body in a first engagement position, in which the device for acquiring images is arranged to acquire images with a first predetermined field of view and the display device is positioned within the field of view of the user, and at least a second engagement position, in which the device for acquiring images is arranged to acquire images with a second predetermined field of view.
Attachment system for a helmet
An attachment system for a helmet, the system having a buckle and a stud. The stud has an engaging portion and the buckle extends along a longitudinal axis and has first and second slots for receiving an adjustable strap and a rim defining a housing having an opening for receiving the engaging portion, the housing opening extending in a direction that is transversal to the longitudinal axis of the buckle. The rim is configured to allow sliding engagement with the engaging portion in a direction that is transversal to the longitudinal axis of the buckle between a first position wherein a section of the rim retains the engaging portion in the rim housing for locking the buckle into the stud and a second position wherein the engaging portion is no longer retained in the rim housing for releasing the buckle from the stud.
AUGMENTED AUDIO ENHANCED PERCEPTION SYSTEM
A method of using an augmented audio enhanced perception system, comprising: tracking at least one object with at least one helmet mounted sensing unit; processing at least one of the at least one tracked object and an ambient sound by a processing unit; and, providing at least one of a synthesized audio signal and a processed ambient sound to a first user of the system using an audio interface unit, to provide information concerning the at least one object to the first user.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND DEVICES FOR REDUCING CONCUSSIVE TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURIES
A system for reducing traumatic brain injuries in players on a sports field includes a number of transmitters worn by at least some of the players; a plurality of sensors configured for placement on or near the sports field for receiving signals transmitted from the transmitters as the players move about on the field; a head-stabilizing component worn by at least one of the players that inhibits relative motion of the player's head when activated; and a processing element coupled with the sensors and in communication with the head-stabilizing component. The processing element determines locations of the players based on the signals transmitted from the transmitters worn by the players, determines if the players are likely to impact one another or an object on the field based on the locations of the players, and transmits an activating signal to the head-stabilizing component to inhibit relative motion of the player's head if the processing element determines the player is likely to impact another player or an object on the sports field.
HELMET FOR ATTENUATING IMPACT EVENT
An impact attenuation helmet construction having a rigid outer shell, a rigid inner shell adapted to being worn upon a wearer's head and arranged a spatially separated distance from the outer shell. A plurality of resilient plasticized members, each having circular cross sectional profiles, are provided and extend between the inner and outer shells in a three dimensional array in order to spatially support said outer shell a distance from an outer surface of said inner shell. The resilient members include any of disk or sphere shaped components, each having outer and inner flattened mounting locations securing to opposing locations of the inner and outer shells.
HELMET WITH SPORTS CAMERA
A helmet with a sports camera comprises a body and a picture recording module which is detachably mounted on the body. The picture recording module includes an outer shell and a camera disposed in the outer shell. The camera is electrically connected to a control system; the control system is connected to a power module; the control system is further electrically connected to an LED indicator and an operating button; in use, through controlling the operating button, a user can take photos or record a video. Advantages of the helmet with a sports camera are summarized as follows. 1. The helmet and the camera are integrated, which facilitates the photographing of sceneries. 2. LED indicators and operation buttons on the helmet can control the start-up, shooting, or recording of the camera, and the micoUSB data interface can be used for charging, data copying, or connected to a PC camera. 3. An external vehicle-mounted display can be provided, which operates to real-time show the shot pictures or sceneries for users to browse through wireless communication technology.
Construction layout using augmented reality
An augmented-reality system is combined with a surveying system to make measurement and/or layout at a construction site more efficient. A reflector can be mounted to a wearable device having an augmented-reality system. A total station can be used to track a reflector, and truth can be transferred to the wearable device while an obstruction is between the total station and the reflector. Further, a target can be used to orient a local map of a wearable device to an environment based on a distance between the target and the wearable device.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing a body made of composite material provided with an inner cavity with an outward opening
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a body made of composite material such as a shell of a helmet. Said body constitutes a multilayer structure where each layer is formed by superposed strata comprising portions of fabrics preimpregnated with thermoplastic resin in which at least some of said layers are formed by woven or non-woven LFRTP-type preimpregnated fabrics. The outer layer is formed by strata of portions of “veil” type or “felt” type fabrics, with non-woven and non-oriented fibers of lengths comprised between 5 and 20 mm. In the method, the multilayer structure arranged in a mold is subjected to the action exerted by a bag that is inflated due to pressure occupying the cavity of the mold.
