System and Method for Protective Eyewear
A flip-to-wear eye shield system is provided. By integrating a hinge into elements of the frame and/or the lens, the eye shield can be manufactured and assembled more quickly and with less costs. In an embodiment, a lens may click (or snap) onto molded posts of a frame in a substantially flat position. An integrated living hinge in the frame may bend to allow the lens to flip downwards toward the frame to a second position for use. The posts may also click (or snap) into place in an underside of the frames. In another embodiment, a lens may click (or snap) onto molded posts of a flame in a substantially flat position. An integrated living hinge, formed by notches in the lens, may allow the lens to bend to flip downwards to the frame to a second position for use. A dispenser allows storing the eye shields in the flat position and dispensing in the second position for use.
Wireless camera system
A system for providing controls signals to a wireless remote camera comprises a signal generating device that presents forward and inverse polarity pulse trains. A transmitter data converter circuit has a forward polarity input point for receiving the inverse polarity pulse trains and an inverse polarity input point for receiving the forward polarity pulse trains, and converts the forward and inverse polarity pulse trains to a conditioned unitary pulse train. A modulator circuit modulates the conditioned unitary pulse train onto an RF carrier. A demodulator circuit demodulates the modulated output wave to produce a reproduction of the conditioned unitary pulse train. A receiver data converter circuit converts the conditioned unitary pulse train to conditioned forward polarity pulse trains and conditioned inverse polarity pulse trains. A camera control circuit produces control signals based on the conditioned forward and inverse polarity pulse trains. A wireless remote camera receives the control signals.
AUDIO COMPONENT ASSEMBLY FOR AVIATION HELMETS AND THE LIKE
In one embodiment, an adapter for an audio component assembly of a helmet employing an apertured retention assembly. The adapter permits integration of audio components from an aftermarket headset, in place of one or more manufacturer-supplied audio components integrated into the helmet. The adapter includes a generally annular member adapted to retain an earpiece therein, and at least one flange disposed on an outer surface of the generally annular member. The at least one flange is adapted to retain the generally annular member by interference fit in an aperture formed in a retention assembly of the helmet.
Safety helmet fan system
A safety helmet fan system includes a fan housing carrying a fan and configured to be mounted on an exterior of a safety helmet shell above a brim of the safety helmet shell, and an elongate cooling air duct connected to the fan housing to direct cooling air flow from the fan housing around the brim and into an interior of the safety helmet shell. The duct can have a flexible construction that allows the duct to be selectively reshaped to accommodate different safety helmet brim configurations. The duct can have a releasable connector configured to releasably connect the duct to a brim of a safety helmet shell.
HELMET SAFETY SYSTEM
A helmet safety system for enhancing visibility of a helmet in a hazardous area includes a helmet that may be worn in a hazardous area. A lighting unit is removably coupled to the helmet. The lighting unit may emit light thereby enhancing visibility of the helmet in the hazardous area.
Brain cooling device
A headwear device includes an endothermic reactor and a trigger to initiate an endothermic reaction in a reactor while the headwear device is being worn on a wearer's head. The headwear device may preferably be utilized in, or conjunction with, a motorcycle safety helmet or similar crash protection device. The headwear device is intended to prevent or delay the onset of brain damage as a result of serious trauma or head injury.
Light-emitting systems for headgear
A light-emitting system is provided which is removably attachable to headgear for personal illumination to enhance visibility of the user to others. The light-emitting system includes a housing that defines a receiving aperture and is configured to surround a portion of the headgear when the light-emitting system is removably attached to the headgear for use. The light-emitting system further includes at least one lens and a plurality of lighting elements coupled to the annular housing which are configured to selectively generate a halo or at least a partial halo of light that radiates outwardly away from the annular housing through the at least one lens to provide enhanced personal illumination.
Space suit helmet having waveguide display
A system may include a space suit helmet. The space suit helmet may include a surface structure, an inner surface structure, and a waveguide display. The inner surface structure may be configured to maintain an oxygenated environment within an interior cavity of the space suit helmet, wherein a user is able to see through the inner surface structure and the surface structure. The waveguide display may be implemented at least one of in or on the space suit helmet. The waveguide display may include a waveguide and an optical system configured to project images at least through the waveguide to be displayed to the user.
HELMET
A helmet has a helmet shell and a visor pivotally connected to the helmet shell. First and second helmet electrical contacts are attached at both sides of the helmet and are adapted for electrically connecting to an electrical power source. First and second visor electrical contacts are attached to each side of the visor. The first and second visor electrical contacts are in contact with the first and second helmet electrical contacts respectively, at at least one position of the pivoting visor. First and second electrical wires are electrically connected to the first and second visor electrical contacts respectively.
Motorcycle helmet camera mount
The motorcycle helmet with camera mount is designed to mount a camera next to the chin of the user, and upon a helmet. The motorcycle helmet with camera mount comprises a base, a left wing, a right wing, and a plurality of adhesives.
