SAFETY HELMET WITH AN ADAPTER AND PROCESS FOR DETACHABLY FASTENING A MODULE
A safety helmet (100) includes a helmet shell (7), with a bearing support structure (2, 5, 9, 21), with a helmet-side coupling point and with a module adapter (1). The bearing support structure (2, 5, 9, 21) is fastened to the helmet shell (7) on an inside. A helmet-side adapter coupling point of the module adapter (1) can be connected detachably to the safety helmet-side adapter coupling point of the module adapter (1). The module adapter (1) holds a module at the safety helmet (100). A process for fastening a module detachably to a safety helmet (100).
LED INFORMATION CUEING APPARATUS FOR SPACESUIT HELMET
A helmet assembly for a spacesuit or other protective suit is disclosed. In embodiments, the helmet assembly includes an external face shield attachable to the spacesuit and providing the spacesuit user with a forward field of view. The helmet assembly includes suit status displays hard-mounted to the external face shield at a periphery or edge of the forward field of view (e.g., upper, lower, left, right). Each suit status display includes a linear or one-dimensional array of individual light emitting diodes (LED) in communication with a suit controller of the spacesuit. Each LED array receives from the suit controller suit status data (e.g., consumables levels, suit performance, position data) communicated to the user by illuminating one or more of the individual LED units.
Anti-concussive helmet and alarm system therefor
Various embodiments comprise systems, methods, architectures, mechanisms or apparatus for a helmet for reducing concussive injuries and an alarm system providing an indication of potential concussive impacts.
Clip for hard hat
A clip for a hard hat includes a body having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, a plurality of longitudinally extending fingers formed in the body, and a plurality of slots formed in the body to separate the plurality of longitudinally extending fingers. The plurality of slots is in communication with openings at the second end of the body. The plurality of slots is configured to receive a strap. The clip further includes a hook portion formed in the body at the second end of the body for removably coupling the clip to the hard hat. The hook portion curves toward the first end of the body.
SAFETY HELMET FAN SYSTEM
A safety helmet fan system includes a fan housing carrying a first fan on a first side of the fan housing and a second fan on a second side of the fan housing and configured to be mounted, by a mount connector located between the first side and the second side, on an exterior of a safety helmet shell above a brim of the safety helmet shell, and an elongate cooling air duct connected to the fan housing to direct cooling air flow from the fan housing around the brim and into an interior of the safety helmet shell.
ACTIVE NECK PROTECTION SYSTEM
A neck protection system includes a support structure, helmet, force transmission arrangement, actuator arrangement, sensor arrangement, and controller. The force transmission arrangement is coupled to the support structure and the helmet and applies a relative force between them. The actuator arrangement applies a load to the force transmission arrangement to initiate the relative force between the support structure and the helmet. The sensor arrangement measures movement changes of a vehicle. The controller is connected to the sensor arrangement to receive data representing the measured movement changes, and connected to the actuator arrangement, and generates and sends control commands to the actuator arrangement based on which the actuator arrangement applies the load to the force transmission arrangement. The controller receives maneuver information from a control computer of a vehicle and generates the control commands based on the received maneuver information and/or based on measurements of the sensor arrangement.
Retractable displays for helmets
The present invention relates to a helmet that includes an outer shell, a heads-up information system that comprises a display, and an attachment assembly. The heads-up information system is movable from a storage position within the outer shell to a use position in which the display of the heads-up information system is visible by a user, without obstructing the field of vision of the user, when the helmet is worn by the user. The attachment assembly is coupled to outer shell and the heads-up information system, and is operable to move the heads-up information system between the storage position and the use position.
Conspicuity Devices
The disclosure provides conspicuity devices and methods. A first embodiment includes a glove with at least one elongate lighting device adapted and configured to admit light having an advantageous spectral energy distribution. Additional articles of clothing are provided herein for enhanced conspicuity, such as for emergency workers and athletes.
Head-mounted physiological signal monitoring system, devices and methods
Eyewear apparatus includes dry electrophysiological electrodes and, optionally, other physiological and/or environmental sensors to measure signals such as EOG and ECG from the head of a subject. Methods of use of such apparatus to provide fitness, health, or other measured or derived, estimated, or predicted metrics are also disclosed.
System, method, and apparatus for synchronizing local flashing in a marker system
A method of synchronizing flashing between a plurality of marker system components mounted on a helmet includes receiving a signal from at least one global positioning satellite receiver, the signal comprising a time value. When the time value indicates illumination is needed, initiating illumination of at least one light emitting device of each the marker system components, thereby, synchronizing of the initiating of illumination to the time value for all marker system components.
