SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A PROTECTIVE SPORTS HELMET
A partial bespoke protective sports equipment to be worn by a player engaged in a sporting activity is provided. The partial bespoke sports equipment system includes methods for acquiring, storing and processing a player's unique data, namely the anatomical features of the body part against which the partial bespoke equipment is worn. The systems also includes methods of using the player's unique data to manufacture the partial bespoke protective equipment with a partially custom formed internal padding. The system and method allows for the design and manufacture of partial bespoke protective sports equipment that is purposely designed and manufactured to substantially match the anatomical specifications of the player's body part.

A support rail for attachment of a helmet accessory to a helmet. The support rail including: a top side; a first receiving side; and a second receiving side. The top side has an attachment portion configured to be fixed to a bottom side of the helmet. The first receiving side having a first retaining groove and the second receiving side having a second retaining groove. The first retaining groove and the second retaining groove are configured to receive one or more engagement elements of a helmet accessory. The attachment portion, the first retaining groove and the second retaining groove extend in a longitudinal direction of the support rail and a first groove valley of the first retaining groove and a second groove valley of the second retaining groove are aligned towards each other.

A personal mobility device includes a helmet, for example, when renting the personal mobility device, and can improve user safety based on an output of a sensor provided in the helmet. The personal mobility device further includes: a transceiver; a helmet storage device in which the helmet provided with at least one sensor is stored; and a controller configured to control the transceiver to be wirelessly connected to the helmet when receiving a signal indicating separation between the helmet storage device and the helmet from the helmet storage device, and to control the transceiver to transmit a signal requesting the activation of the at least one sensor to the helmet.
Helmet cover for use as a training aid
An apparatus and a method that provides a helmet cap with an embedded visor on the inside of said helmet cap to train a wearer of a football helmet to correctly position the head in an up position when tacking and blocking during sports play. The cap can be detachably but securely attached to a football helmet and upper facemask in a position where it does not obstruct the view of the helmet wearer to a position where it does obstruct the helmet wearer's view and thus forces the helmet wearer to look up.
HELMET RIM LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR
A helmet rim lighting system comprises a helmet attach mechanism and a housing holding electronics. When attached to a helmet, the housing produces both forward and downward lights. The forward light is generated by at least one forward-facing light, and the downward light is produced by at least one downward-facing light. The forward light directs light from the center horizontally to the left and right, both over 90 degrees, while the downward light is directed towards the ground, continuing the downward line of the helmet’s edge. The helmet attach mechanism is designed to match the contour of a helmet’s front rim. The system can independently activate the forward and downward lights and may include a single input for control. The housing and circuitry are waterproof, and the diffuser can serve as a gasket.
BOW FOR USE ON PROTECTIVE GEAR
The current invention pertains to a novel use of selective adhesives to provide identifying or branding adornments to safety gear. In one potential implementation of the invention, three dimensional insignias are affixed to a helmet by using interlocking heads, loops and hooks, or other selective means of binding the insignia to the helmet. As an added benefit, these insignias provide a controlled fail point in the instance of a crash, absorbing impact and breaking away to prevent the full force of an impact transferring to the helmet itself. Other useful applications include a means for distinguishing multiple individuals wearing visored safety gear, such as helmets commonly used when operating motorsports vehicles, identifying the expressed gender the bearer, or differentiating between multiple racers who are wearing nondescript safety gear.
