Surgical apparel system

A medical garment for use with a helmet, wherein the garment comprises a shell and a transparent face shield configured to define a barrier between the wearer and the environment. The transparent face shield may comprise a tab configured to be at least partially disposed within an alignment channel of the helmet when the medical garment is attached to the helmet to orient the shell relative to the helmet. The tab may also be separate from the transparent face shield and disposed on the shell of the medical garment. The transparent face shield may also comprise an attachment element configured to removably couple with a coupling member of the helmet, wherein the attachment element and coupling member comprise complementary coupling surfaces.

BICYCLE HELMET WITH MODULAR IMPACT ABSORBING STRUCTURES

A helmet includes a helmet body adapted to cover at least a portion of a rider's head, the helmet body including a wall portion and a vent extending through the wall portion from an exterior of the helmet body to an interior of the helmet body. The bicycle helmet also includes an adjusting assembly for adjustably securing the helmet to a user's head, the adjusting assembly including an adjusting input movable to adjust a size of the helmet, the adjusting input being positioned at least partially in the vent.

Rotation Damping Helmet
20220330645 · 2022-10-20 ·

The present invention is a helmet system that reduces concussions by damping rotational force transmitted to a helmet user. The helmet has an exterior shell and an internal body that moves independently from the exterior shell. At least one magnetic source on the exterior shell's interior has a dipole directed axially at the internal body. At least one magnetic source on the internal body has a dipole aligned with the same axis, directed at the exterior shell. In a resting state magnetic sources generate a weak magnetic field. When an impact rotates the exterior shell, it moves off the initial alignment and closer to the internal body. The previously aligned magnetic sources torque. The magnetic source on the internal body torques in the opposite direction of the rotation, as do all initially aligned magnetic sources impacted. Angular momentum is displaced, diffused, offset, damping rotational force transmitted to a helmet user.

RIDER LOCATION DETECTION AND SHARING SYSTEM

Rider location and acceleration sharing systems are provided herein. For instance, a system is paired with a wireless transceiver, mountable to or within headwear that outputs location data and accelerometer data associated with the user identity to a user device. Once members of the group of user devices are validated for movement together, an emergency event associated with a member of the group may be identified based on the accelerometer data or the location data, and, in response to the emergency event, emergency event data is sent to the respective other user devices, and other information is enabled to be received from any of the respective other user devices.
