PROTECTIVE HELMET WITH ATTACHMENT RING

A protective helmet adapted to receive and protect the head of a wearer includes an outer shell and an attachment ring removably secured to the outer shell, such that the attachment ring can be selectively attached to or detached and removed from the outer shell. The outer shell is shaped to protect the head of the wearer of the protective helmet and defines a bottom opening and an internal cavity for receiving the head of the wearer. The attachment ring acts as a point of attachment for, and thus secures, one or more components of the protective helmet configured to engage the head of the wearer, such that the components secured to the attachment ring are transported with the attachment ring when the attachment ring is detached and removed from the outer shell.

WEARABLE ASSISTED PERCEPTION MODULE FOR NAVIGATION AND COMMUNICATION IN HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTS

An assisted perception (AP) module comprises an attachment mechanism to attach the AP module to a helmet, and a housing to integrate modular components of the AP module. The housing comprises a front portion and side portion, the front portion located over an eye of the user. The modular components include sensors to collect information about an environment as sensor data, and processors located in the side portion. The processors execute one or more assisted perception engines that process the sensor data from the sensors into enhanced characterization data. Output devices electronically communicate the enhanced characterization data to a user, wherein at least one of the output devices protrudes from the front portion of the housing in front of an eye of the user.

Device to securely lock a helmet to a supporting structure
10959474 · 2021-03-30 ·

A helmet locking device that allows a rider to securely lock the helmet to a supporting structure, such as a motorcycle. The device includes a mounting bracket configured to conform to and fit around a tubular structure on the motorcycle. The device also includes an anchoring member that is mounted on to the helmet. The mounting bracket and the anchoring member include elements that allow them to be slidably coupled to each other and secured by a locking element thus preventing the removal and theft of the helmet.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SAFETY ASSISTANCE IN VEHICLE
20210045486 · 2021-02-18 ·

A system for providing safety assistance in a vehicle. The system includes a helmet and a first plurality of sensors in the helmet. The system further includes control circuitry that captures a first plurality of signals from the first plurality of sensors in the helmet. The first plurality of signals indicates first motion information corresponding to the helmet. The control circuitry further controls one of an inflation element or a hardening element disposed in a wearable garment based on a determination that the first motion information corresponding to the helmet exceeds a first predefined threshold.

APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY MANAGING THE HELMET
20230414801 · 2023-12-28 ·

An apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is for automatically managing a helmet. Because the inside of a helmet may be sterilized and dried in a short time, a comfortable safety helmet may be ensured even during a short break time. Also, because charging may be performed without removing attachments such as an IoT device, an electronic device, and an illumination light from the helmet, the inconvenience of time and effort spent on attaching and detaching the attachments may be eliminated. Also, because the attachments such as the IoT device, the electronic device, and the illumination light may be charged at every break in the middle of work, a required capacity of a rechargeable battery may be reduced, a weight of the attachments may be reduced, and thus, the burden on the user to use the helmet may be reduced.
