Lever-activated shock abatement system and method
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, devices and processes that abate impact shocks by enacting a machine that redirects at least a portion of an impact force imposed along one trajectory to a reaction force distributed along another trajectory. Other embodiments are disclosed.
CHINSTRAP SOCK WITH METAL-CONTAINING YARN
A chinstrap sock to be worn by athletes comprising a tubular body having a skin facing surface for contacting a portion of a wearer's body, and an outer surface opposed to the skin facing surface; an opening in the tubular body for extension therethrough; and a first welt and a second welt affixed to opposite ends of the tubular body in surrounding relation to the opening, the first welt and the second welt each comprising a circularly-knitted fabric integral with the tubular body and extending therefrom to; the tubular body portion being a knitted construction comprising: a skin-facing surface comprising a metal-, metal oxide-, and/or metal salt-containing yarn portion.
Inflatable neck support for contact sports helmets
A neck support apparatus for a contact sports helmet. The neck support apparatus may include an inflatable neck support including at least one air bladder normally in a deflated state, the inflatable neck support adapted to attach to the contact sports helmet; a first air supply; and at least one impact sensor adapted to trigger airflow from the first air supply into the at least one air bladder upon detection of an impact force exceeding a predetermined limit. The inflatable neck support is adapted to attach to a base portion of the contact sports helmet normally adjacent to a player's neck when worn, and inflate the at least one air bladder in a manner to deploy the inflatable neck support and help brace the player's neck immediately after an impact.
Glass for helmet
Glasses for a helmet is configured to rotate a glass member in a state where the glass member is mounted onto the helmet by means of one touch, thereby allowing the glass member to be located in front of a wearer's eyes, and configured to reversely rotate the glass member, thereby opening the front sides of his or her eyes. The glasses for a helmet includes: helmet attachment members fixedly attached to the helmet worn on a wearer's head; glass mounting members separably mounted onto the helmet attachment members by means of one touch; and a glass member adapted to rotate in a state of being rotatably fixed to the glass mounting members in such a manner as to be located in front of the wearer's eyes.
Conversion Assembly for a Hard Hat
A conversion assembly is secured to a hard hat having a protective dome cover defining a peripheral rim, and a visor. The conversion assembly includes a compartment and a plurality of electronic circuits housed within the compartment. A mechanical connector removably secures the compartment to the protective dome cover of the hard hat.
PROTECTIVE HELMET
The invention relates to a protective helmet, comprising an outer shell (1) for distributing impact forces and an antenna (2) for transferring a radio signal, which antenna is arranged at least partially inside the outer shell (1). The outer shell (1) consists of a main material in a main region (5). The protective helmet is characterized in that the outer shell (1) consists of a cut-out material in a cut-out region (6), the cut-out material having a lesser damping effect on the radio signal in comparison with the main material. The invention further relates to a method for producing a protective helmet.
HELMET ASSEMBLY WITH EYEWEAR AND AIR DEFLECTOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A helmet is described herein. The helmet can be configured to hold the arms of a corresponding eyewear piece, such as an eyeglass or sunglass, through one or more features of the helmet. The helmet can further include an air deflector visor. The one or more features, such as one or more channels, allows for the helmet to receive and hold the eyewear of a wearer. Additionally, the helmet visor can utilize deflector vents to redirect airflow around the helmet for lower drag and/or deflect airflow to portions of the helmet to aid in the cooling of the wearer.
Helmet lighting system
A helmet including a lighting system integrated into said helmet, the lighting system comprising a first layer; light emitting means mounted to said first layer; controller means mounted to said first layer for controlling said light emitting means; wiring means for linking said light emitting means to said controller means; a second layer fixably attached to said first layer thereby providing an area between said first and second layer for said light emitting means, controller means, and wiring means; power means fixably attached to said second layer for powering said controller and light emitting means; and operating means functionally linked to said controller means for operating said controller means. The application also discloses lighting system contained in a shell that that can be attached to an existing helmet. This application also discloses a lighting system contained in a flexible material that can be fitted onto an existing helmet.
Helmet vent adapter
An apparatus comprising a helmet. The helmet can include at least one vent. A vent adapter can be configured to secure into the at least one vent. The vent adapter can include a first attachment surface and a second attachment surface. A mount can be configured to secure into the vent adapter. The mount can include a first attachment portion configured to mate with the first attachment surface. The mount can also include a second attachment portion configured to mate with the second attachment surface.
