Wound dressing for combined negative pressure and fluid delivery system
A multi-action wound dressing for accelerated wound healing by means of multi-therapeutic action is disclosed. The dressing comprises a porous sheet (101); two flexible sheets (102) having a first sheet (103) and a second sheet (104) attached to each other; multichannel conduits (105) or a plurality of single channel conduits; multichannel tubes (106), side adhesive tapes (107) and an optional wound contact layer (108). The porous sheet (101) includes a top planar surface (201), thickness (202) and a bottom uneven surface (203). The bottom uneven surface (203) lies on the surface of the wound and may have surface patterns (204). The pattern (204) may be wavy patterns and/or any other regular and/or irregular surface protrusion that allow intermediate gaps between wound surface and the bottom surface (203) of the porous sheet through which fluid can flow over the wound surface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY DEVICES
Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy devices and methods for controlling and operating such devices are disclosed. A negative pressure wound therapy apparatus can include a housing, a negative pressure source, controller, and output device supported by the housing. The negative pressure source can couple via a fluid flow path to a wound dressing and provides negative pressure to the wound dressing. The controller can operate the negative pressure source to provide negative pressure to the wound. The output device can provide identification data to an electronic device, and the identification data can be usable by the electronic device to access a label associated with the negative pressure wound therapy device.
Multiple dressing negative pressure wound therapy system with calibrated leak paths
In some embodiments, an apparatus for providing negative pressure wound therapy to multiple wounds includes a negative pressure source configured to couple via a plurality of fluid flow paths to a plurality of wound dressings. The plurality of flow paths includes a plurality of calibrated leaks. The apparatus also includes a controller configured to determine a total rate of flow in the plurality of fluid flow paths and compare the total rate of flow to a plurality of thresholds associated with the plurality of calibrated leaks to determine one or more operating conditions, such as a blockage in one or more of the plurality of flow paths. An indication of the operating condition can be provided.
Negative pressure wound therapy apparatuses and methods for using the same
Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems, apparatuses, and methods for operating the systems and apparatuses are disclosed. In some embodiments, a medical device is configured to detect an identity of a patient-contacting disposable connected to the medical device. The medical device automatically modifies one or more operational parameters of the medical device based on the identity of the patient-contacting disposable connected to the medical device. The medical device can include a user interface and modify automatically available selections in the user interface based on the identity of the patient-contacting disposable connected to the medical device.
Wound dressing and method of treatment
A wound dressing, a method of manufacturing a wound dressing, and a method of treating a patient are disclosed. The wound dressing may include an absorbent layer for absorbing wound exudate; and an obscuring element for at least partially obscuring a view of wound exudate absorbed by the absorbent layer in use.
WOUND IRRIGATION SYSTEM
This document provides devices, systems, and methods for treating patients with wounds. For example, this document provides a multi-lumen tubular device that can deliver wound irrigation, wound suction, and medicinal treatment through the lumens of the tubular device.
WOUND DRESSING AND METHOD OF USE
A system, method, and apparatus are disclosed for dressing a wound. The apparatus comprises a liquid and gas permeable transmission layer, an absorbent layer for absorbing wound exudate, the absorbent layer overlying the transmission layer, a gas impermeable cover layer overlying the absorbent layer and comprising a first orifice, wherein the cover layer is moisture vapor permeable.
Sequential collapse waveform dressing
An apparatus for tissue therapy may include a sequentially-collapsing tissue interface for use with negative pressure. The apparatus may include a first manifold and a second manifold fluidly coupled to the first manifold through a constricted fluid path. A fluid conductor may fluidly couple the second manifold to the first manifold. The fluid conductor may constrict fluid flow between the first manifold and the second manifold. The apparatus may include a negative-pressure source fluidly coupled to the first manifold in some embodiments. A controller may be configured to operate a negative-pressure source to provide negative pressure to a tissue interface in a therapy sequence adapted to propagate a wave in the tissue site. Such motion may be particularly advantageous or beneficial for a variety of conditions, including lymphedema, edema, or venous insufficiency.
WOUND OXYGEN TREATMENT SYSTEM
A wound treatment system includes a processor coupled to sensor system(s), a power delivery system, an oxygen concentrator coupled to the power delivery system and including an oxygen outlet coupled to a restricted airflow enclosure provided by a dressing and located adjacent a wound site, and a negative pressure system that includes a negative pressure outlet coupled to the restricted airflow enclosure. The processor receives first sensor information from the sensor system(s), and uses the first sensor information to control the power provided from the power delivery system to the oxygen concentrator in order to control an oxygen flow created by the oxygen concentrator and provided through the oxygen outlet to the restricted airflow enclosure. When the processor receives second sensor information from the sensor system(s), it activates the negative pressure system to create a fluid flow from the restricted airflow enclosure and through the negative pressure outlet.
