PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF AN ELECTRIC CABLE BY EXTRUSION OF A COMPOSITION BASED ON A PROPYLENE POLYMER AND ON A DIELECTRIC LIQUID
The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of an electric cable comprising an extruded thermoplastic layer obtained from a composition comprising at least one dielectric liquid and at least one thermoplastic polymer chosen from a propylene homopolymer and copolymer, and also to a cable obtained by said process.
ENZYMATICALLY-DEGUMMED OIL AND USES THEREOF
An electrical device containing an enzymatically-degummed vegetable oil is disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for insulating and cooling a transformer using enzymatically-degummed vegetable oils, and methods for adding an enzymatically-degummed vegetable oil to an enclosure of an electrical device. Further disclosed are processes for making dielectric fluids using enzyme-degumming of vegetable oils or using enzyme-degummed vegetable oils as the starting material for the process.

ELECTRONIC SWITCH WITH OVERVOLTAGE LIMITER
An electronic switch for a DC voltage system includes at least two turn-off semiconductor switches, a varistor and a capacitor, and at least two diodes connected in series with opposite polarity. The turn-off semiconductor switches are connected at a connection point in series with opposite polarity between a first connection of the electronic switch and a second connection of the electronic switch. In order to provide improved overvoltage protection, the varistor and the capacitor form a series connection, with one end of the series connection connected to the connection point. A DC voltage system employing the electronic switch and a method for limiting overvoltages in the electronic switch or in a corresponding DC voltage system are also disclosed. Inductive energy of an element connected to the electronic switch is transferred to the capacitor when a limit, defined by the varistor, has been exceeded.
Dielectric Nano-Fluid for Electrostatic Machines and Actuators
An electrostatic machine employs a high dielectric fluid comprised of a dielectric liquid with suspended dielectric particles. Electrorheological effects are minimized through small particle sizes and steric coatings on those particles limiting the minimum particle-to-particle distance. Low particle volume densities provide greater torque density with managed reduced viscosity.

DIELECTRIC FLUIDS COMPRISING NATURAL BIO-SOURCED OIL WITH INCREASED STABILITY
A dielectric fluid is provided comprising a natural bio-sourced oil and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of phosphite compounds. It has been discovered that addition of one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of phosphite compounds to dielectric fluids comprising oil impart a stabilizing effect that reduces, inhibits or prevents formation of stray gases in the dielectric fluid during ordinary use.
