POLYAMIC ACID RESIN IN REACH-APPROVED SOLVENT SYSTEM FOR WIRE COATING APPLICATIONS
The present invention discloses a polyamic acid resin composition in a REACH-approved solvent system for use in wire coating applications. The polyamic acid resin composition comprises a molecular weight greater than 8,000 grams per mole, more preferably greater than 20,000 grams per mole. The REACH-approved solvent system comprising a primary REACHapproved solvent with one or more optional secondary REACH-approved co-solvents. The secondary REACH-approved co-solvent can be reactive or non-reactive with dianhydride. The present invention also discloses the elimination of solvents in polyamic acid resin to produce a REACH-approved polyamic acid resin powder.

The present invention relates to the coating of wires with coatings which are obtained by crosslinking blocked polyisocyanates. The coatings are characterized in that they are substantially free of urethane groups and the crosslinking of the monomers is predominantly effected by isocyanurate groups.

An electrically insulated electric conductor strip (1), in particular for electric motors and transformers, having a strip-like electric conductor (2) which has an upper cover surface (2a) and a lower cover surface (2b), two side edge surfaces (2c) and, at each end, an end edge surface, and having electrical insulation (3), which is arranged on at least one cover surface of the strip (2a, 2b). In order to create a conductor strip (1) of this kind which can be produced with reduced effort but has a high electrical insulation effect, the insulation comprises a paint layer (3a) and an adhesive strip (3b), which is adhered to the lower cover surface (2b) and/or the upper cover surface (2a) of the strip-like electrical conductor (2), more specifically at least in a region (4) in each case which borders a side edge surface (2c), the paint layer (3a) being beneath the adhesive tape (3b) and at least directly on the lower cover surface (2b) and/or on the upper surface (2a).

Cured film-forming composition
This cured film-forming resin composition is characterized in comprising: as a component (A), a polymer containing a structural unit derived from a first monomer having the structure with formula (1); a photoacid generator as a component (B); fine particles as a component (C); and a solvent (in the formula, R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or a methyl group and R.sup.2 represents an organic group capable of undergoing elimination with the oxygen atom bonded thereto). The cured film-forming resin composition forms a cured film that has solvent resistance to organic solvents and a high liquid repellency (lyophobicity) wherein the lyophilicity/lyophobicity can be easily varied using small ultraviolet exposure doses and the lyophilic areas have a high lyophilicity even for high surface tension liquids.
