FLAME-RETARDANT FLAT ELECTRICAL CABLE
20190019600 · 2019-01-17 ·

A flame-retardant flat electrical cable has a magnesium oxide dielectric layer. A plurality of spaced apart substantially parallel electrical conductors generally lie in the same plane and extend along the length of the cable. A dielectric layer is disposed on the top and/or bottom sides of the cable and covers the conductors. The dielectric layer comprises at least 90% magnesium oxide by weight. The dielectric layer exhibits good dielectric properties and is flame retardant without the use of halogens.

WINDING WIRE, WINDING AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE WINDING WIRE
20180374606 · 2018-12-27 ·

The present application discloses a winding wire, a winding and a method for producing the winding wire. The winding wire comprises a wire and an insulation structure that wraps around the wire. The insulation structure comprises a first insulating layer having a first width and a second insulating layer having a second width, the first width being less than the second width. The second insulating layer has an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction perpendicular to the X-axis direction, and the first insulating layer is disposed on the second insulating layer in a direction parallel to the X-axis. The wire is disposed, in a direction parallel to the X-axis direction, on the portion of the second insulating layer that is not covered by the first insulating layer, and the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer wrap around the wire in the Y-axis direction.

SHIELDED ELECTRICAL CONDUCTOR WITH FOLDED SHIELDING LAYER

A shielded conductor assembly includes an electrically conductive busbar having a width of the busbar that is greater than a thickness of the busbar and an inner insulative layer surrounding the busbar. The shielded conductor assembly also includes an electrically conductive foil shield layer having a longitudinal seam arranged substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the busbar and having a plurality of pleats arranged substantially parallel with one another surrounding the inner insulative layer. The shielded conductor assembly further includes an outer insulative layer surrounding the pleated foil shield layer. The plurality of pleats are configured to allow the busbar to be bent at an angle of at least 90 degrees along the thickness of the busbar without rupturing the foil shield layer. A method of manufacturing such a shielded conductor assembly is also provided.

Stranded cable subunits with a central member for a bundled cable

Bundled cables and methods for preparing bundled cable are disclosed herein. In the method, a plurality of subunits is wound about a central member. The subunits include a subunit jacket made of a first thermoplastic composition and has a first outer surface, and the central member includes a central member jacket made of a second thermoplastic composition and has a second outer surface. A metal element is provided at an interface of the second outer surface and the first outer surface of the subunits. The metal element is heated such that at least one of the first thermoplastic composition or the second thermoplastic composition forms bonds with the other of the first thermoplastic composition or the second thermoplastic composition.
