An aluminum alloy wire composed of an aluminum alloy, wherein the aluminum alloy contains more than or equal to 0.005 mass % and less than or equal to 2.2 mass % of Fe and a remainder of Al and an inevitable impurity, and the aluminum alloy wire has a dynamic friction coefficient of less than or equal to 0.8.

Flat cable

The present invention discloses a flat cable, which comprises signal unit sets and the insulating layer which wraps and fixes the signal unit set. The signal unit set is formed by at least two signals units arranged substantially on the same plane at an interval or side by side. The left and right sides of the signal unit set are directly wrapped by insulating layers. The insulating layer is formed by splicing and bonding at least one insulating film, and the splicing points at two ends of the insulating film are located on the upper side or the lower side of the signal unit set. In the flat cable of the present invention, the length of the overlapping portion can be set as required, effectively preventing the phenomenon such as insulating film tear and short circuit caused by insulating film tear.

COMMUNICATION WIRE

The present invention relates to an improved insulated conductor with a low dielectric constant and reduced materials costs. The conductor (12) extends along a longitudinal axis and an insulation (14, 14<1>) surrounds the conductor (12). At least on channel (16, 16<1>) in the insulation (14, 14<1>) extends generally along the longitudinal axis to form an insulated conductor. Apparatuses and methods of manufacturing the improved insulated conductors are also disclosed.

Provided are a core electric wire for multi-core cable that is superior in flex resistance at low temperature, and a multi-core cable employing the same. A core electric wire for multi-core cable according to an aspect of the present invention comprises a conductor obtained by twisting element wires, and an insulating layer that covers an outer periphery of the conductor, in which, in a transverse cross section of the conductor, a percentage of an area occupied by void regions among the element wires is from 5% to 20%. An average area of the conductor in the transverse cross section is preferably from 1.0 mm.sup.2 to 3.0 mm.sup.2. An average diameter of the element wires in the conductor is preferably from 40 m to 100 m, and the number of the element wires is preferably from 196 to 2,450. The conductor is preferably obtained by twisting stranded element wires obtained by twisting subsets of element wires. The insulating layer preferably comprises as a principal component a copolymer of ethylene and an -olefin having a carbonyl group.

A cable may include a central strength member, a plurality of optical fiber buffer tubes positioned around the central strength member, and a jacket surround the plurality of buffer tubes and the central strength member. The central strength member may include a plurality of longitudinally extending and twisted conductive components. Each conductive component may include an inner conductor, a dielectric strength member formed around the inner conductor and having a tensile strength of at least 10,000 MPa, and an outer conductor formed around the dielectric strength member. The inner and outer conductor may form a balanced pair of conductors.

A hybrid cable applicable in oil wells is disclosed, comprising a FIMT, a conductor layer formed by continuous laser welding and cylindrically covered the outer surface of the FIMT, the outer cylindrical surface of the conductor layer being covered with a high temperature resistant insulating layer by a continuous extrusion method or by wrapped helically with insulating tapes around the outer surface of the conductor layer and the external steel tube cylindrically covered the outer surface of the insulating layer. The conductor layer is coaxial with the FIMT, the inner space of the hybrid cable to accommodating excess length of the optical fiber for thermal expansions or the tensile stress of the optical cable. The thickness of the insulating layer cylindrically covered the outer surface of the conductor layer can be increased, thereby improving the insulating property. A method of manufacturing such hybrid cable is disclosed.
