Modular cable organization system

An assembly for supporting and retracting machine cables, thereby protecting operational components attached to machine cables. A cable organization system includes at least one modular cable management module fixed to a mounting plate that allows mounting of the cable organization system to a machine or other surface. The system has clamps which secure machine cables. The clamps are supported on top of pivoting guide tubes. The cable management modules contain retraction systems which retract the machine cable clamps from an extended position. By utilizing retracting cable clamps on pivoting guide tubes, the system allows the use of operational components attached to secured machine cables, and organizes the machine cables, so that the machine cables do not extend out into the floor around the machine. The system redirects pulling force on the machine cables, so that operational components do not get pulled onto the floor if a passerby catches on a machine cable.

A robot includes a robot body and a feeding cable. The robot body is disposed in an explosion-proof region. The feeding cable is disposed in the explosion-proof region, and power is supplied to the robot body through the feeding cable. The feeding cable includes a plurality of wires and a cover. Each of the plurality of wires includes a conductor and an insulator covering the conductor. The cover covers the plurality of wires and has a thickness of equal to or greater than 10 percent of an outer diameter of the feeding cable.

Movable part composite cable

A movable part composite cable includes a plurality of power supply wires being designed for electric power supply, which respectively include a plurality of insulated electric wires being laid together and being covered by each covering member, the plurality of power supply wires being arranged in contact with each other on surfaces of their respective covering members, one or more signal wires being designed for signal transmission, each signal wire having an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of each power supply wire, and a jacket, which is being provided over an outer periphery of an aggregate including the plurality of power supply wires and the one or more signal wires that are laid together. The power supply wires and the signal wires are not in direct contact with each other, or the power supply wires and the signal wires are in direct contact with each other with a contact area therebetween being smaller than a contact area between the power supply wires.

Composite cable

A composite cable includes a signal line part, a pair of power supply lines, and a sheath. The signal line part is composed of a first signal line and a second signal line twisted together. Each of the first signal line and the second signal line is composed of a pair of wires twisted together. The sheath covers an outer circumference of a wire bundle composed of the signal line part and a pair of power supply lines, the signal line part and the pair of power supply lines being twisted together. The signal line part is covered with a shield conductor formed of a braid composed of a plurality of conductive element wires braided together.

Security/tether cable

A power/security cord for use in a retail display includes the combination of at least one spring steel strand and at least one conductor coiled into the shape of a curly-Q cord. The steel strand provides a physical barrier against cutting the cord. The conductor provides wiring for power.

Composite cable and wire harness

A composite cable is composed of a twisted pair formed by twisting together one pair of first electric wires each including a first conductor and a first insulation covering an outer circumference of the first conductor, one pair of second electric wires each including a second conductor greater in cross sectional area than the first conductor and a second insulation covering an outer circumference of that second conductor, the second electric wire being greater in outer diameter than the first electric wire, and a sheath covering aggregates together formed by stranding together the twisted pair and the one pair of second electric wires. The first conductors are formed by stranding a plurality of metal wires together. The second conductors are formed by stranding a plurality of aggregated strands together formed by stranding a plurality of metal wires together.

Twist resistant electrical harness

An electrical harness includes an electrical cable, an inner tubing, an outer tubing, and a braid tubing disposed between the inner tubing and the outer tubing. The braid tubing is physically contacting the inner tubing and the outer tubing to react against twisting of the electrical harness.
