Further an electrical device is coupleable to the cable.

Concentric Wireline Cable

A wireline system includes a control system, a downhole tool, and a wireline cable coupling the downhole tool and the control system. The wireline cable includes a plurality of conductors, which includes a core conductor and a concentric conductor disposed around the core conductor, wherein two of the plurality of conductors form a conductor pair, and wherein each of the plurality of conductors is configured to transmit power, data, or both, between the control system and the downhole tool. The wireline cable further includes one or more insulative layers, wherein at least one insulative layer is disposed between any two conductors.

High temperature submersible power cable

A method can include extruding an electrically insulating elastomeric compound about a conductor where the electrically insulating elastomeric compound includes ethylene propylene diene monomer (M-class) rubber (EPDM) and an alkane-based peroxide that generates radicals that form decomposition products; cross-linking the EPDM via radical polymerization to form an electrically insulating layer about the conductor; heating the cross-linked EPDM to at least 55 degrees C. to reduce the concentration of the decomposition products in the electrically insulating layer; and disposing a gas barrier layer about the electrically insulating layer.

Alternate deployed electric submersible pumping system cable

An electric submersible pumping system cable is provided with a plurality of conductors. The electric submersible pumping system cable includes at least one central strength member which may be in the form of a central strength member bundle. The plurality of conductors may be in the form of a plurality of individually insulated conductors arranged about the central strength member. The electric submersible pumping system cable also may include a jacket layer disposed over the insulated conductors.

Electric-submersible-pump composite duct cable and manufacturing method thereof

An electric-submersible-pump composite duct cable is provided and includes a steel tube shell and an isolation layer. The isolation layer covers the outer circumferential surface of an ethylene-propylene jacket. The steel tube shell covers the outer circumferential surface of the isolation layer. Multiple signal cable assemblies and multiple injection agent tubes are arranged inside the isolation layer. Each signal cable assembly and each injection agent tube are in staggered arrangement at the internal center of the ethylene-propylene jacket. A manufacturing method of the electric-submersible-pump composite duct cable mainly includes two steps of manufacturing the isolation layer and machining the steel tube shell.

Hybrid electro-optic wireline cable

A hybrid electro-optic (EO) wireline cable includes optical fibers strategically placed within to allow acoustic sensing methods as well as provide power and electrical telemetry. The hybrid EO wireline cable contains optical fibers in the interstices among symmetrically arranged electrical wire bundles to allow a hybrid EO cable to be concurrently used for electrical telemetry and optical fiber sensing without interference in a wellbore environment. This hybrid EO cable maintains electric and magnetic field symmetry which allows an optimal electrical signaling rate through orthogonal propagation modes. By placing optical fibers symmetrically inside the interstitial spaces between electrical wire bundles, the cable maintains its optimal signaling rate and avoids the mechanical and electrical limitations that would be introduced when combining electrical wires and optical fibers in a wireline cable.
