Electrical characteristics of shielded electrical cables
A shielded electrical cable includes one or more conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and being spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. Each conductor set has one or more conductors having a size no greater than 24 AWG and each conductor set has an insertion loss of less than about ?20 dB/meter over a frequency range of 0 to 20 GHz. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable, the first and second films including cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the first and second films in combination substantially surround each conductor set, and the pinched portions of the first and second films in combination form pinched portions of the cable on each side of each conductor.
Shielded electrical cable
A shielded electrical cable includes conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and include cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the films in combination substantially surround each conductor set. An adhesive layer bonds the shielding films together in the pinched portions of the cable. A transverse bending of the cable at a cable location of no more than 180 degrees over an inner radius of at most 2 mm causes a cable impedance of the selected insulated conductor proximate the cable location to vary by no more than 2 percent from an initial cable impedance measured at the cable location in an unbent configuration.

Cable connector assembly having cable of a flat structure
A cable connector assembly includes a connector and a cable, the cable including plural core wires arranged in an upper and a lower rows, wherein several pairs of high-speed signal lines, a pair of low-speed signal lines, a power signal line, and a spare signal line are located in the upper row, and other pairs of high-speed signal lines, a detection signal line, a power supply line, another spare signal line, and another power signal line are located in the lower row.
COMPOSITE CABLE ASSEMBLY AND SERVER HAVING THE SAME
A composite cable assembly includes flat cables, a cable unit and fastening units. Each flat cable includes conductor assemblies and a shielding layer covering the conductor assemblies. The cable unit includes transmission lines. The transmission lines are arranged horizontally and in contact with the shielding layer of the flat cable closest to the transmission lines. The cable unit contacts the flat cable closest to the cable unit, the cable unit and each flat cable are together bent to form bent portions and extension sections connected to the bent portions. Each two fastening units are arranged spaced apart at two sides of a corresponding bent portion. Each extension section has the same length when the cable unit and each flat cable are moved in a movement direction to extend or collapse.
HIGH DENSITY SHIELDED ELECTRICAL CABLE AND OTHER SHIELDED CABLES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A shielded electrical ribbon cable includes adjacent first and second longitudinal conductor sets where each conductor set includes two or more insulated conductors. The first conductor set also includes a ground conductor that generally lies in the plane of the insulated conductors of the first conductor set. At least 90% of the periphery of each conductor set is encompassed by a shielding film. First and second non-conductive polymeric films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and form cover portions substantially surrounding each conductor set, and pinched portions on each side of each conductor set. When the cable is laid flat, the distance between the center of the ground conductor of the first conductor set and the center of the nearest insulated conductor of the second conductor set is ?1, the center-to-center spacing of the insulated conductors of the second conductor set is ?2, and ?1/?2 is greater than 0.7.
Shielded electrical cable
A shielded electrical cable includes a conductor set and two generally parallel shielding films disposed around the conductor set. The conductor set includes one or more substantially parallel longitudinal insulated conductors. The shielding films include a parallel portion wherein the shielding films are substantially parallel. The parallel portion is configured to electrically isolate the conductor set.
EDGE INSULATION STRUCTURE FOR ELECTRICAL CABLE
An edge insulated electrical cable includes an electrical cable and an edge insulation structure applied to the electrical cable at the location. An apparatus for applying edge coating to a film is also disclosed.
LONG STRAIGHT HIGH-FREQUENCY TRANSMISSION CABLE
A long straight high-frequency transmission cable includes a plurality of transmission wires, at least one ground wire, first and second insulating laminates, and first and second shielding layers. The transmission wires and the ground wire are parallel to each other. The first insulating laminate and the second insulating laminate are laminated with each other to cover the transmission wires and the ground wire. The first shielding layer and the second shielding layer are respectively laminated on the first insulating laminate and the second insulating laminate. The first insulating laminate has a plurality of first conductive plugs separately arranged along a length direction of the ground wire, and each two adjacent ones of the first conductive plugs have a spacing therebetween that is at least greater than 50 mm.
EDGE INSULATION STRUCTURE FOR ELECTRICAL CABLE
A cable includes one or more conductor sets, one or more dielectric unitary blocks or reservoirs, first and second conductive shielding films disposed on opposite first and second sides of the conductor sets and the dielectric blocks or reservoirs, and an adhesive layer. The shielding films include cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in cross-section, the cover portions of the shielding films in combination substantially surround each conductor set and each unitary block or reservoir, and the pinched portions of the shielding films in combination form pinched portions of the cable on each side of the conductor set and on at least one side of the unitary block or the reservoir. The adhesive layer bonds the first shielding film to the second shielding film in the pinched portions of the cable.
