A terminal of the insulation sheath part on the conductor crimp part side is exposed toward the intermediate part side from the sheath crimp part. The crimp terminal includes a sheath cover wall part that covers an edge of the terminal of the insulation sheath part on a top view.

An adhesive tape is made by hot calendering a substrate between two generally identical rolls one of which is heated to a different temperature than the other roll while rotating the rolls at the same peripheral speed to flatten one face of the substrate and reduce air permeability of the substrate by at least 15%. A system for detecting water trees in branching underground electrical cables includes a pulse generator configured to inject a pulse into a first underground cable that branches into a second underground cable and a third underground cable. The system includes a first sensor associated with the first cable, a second sensor associated with the second cable, and a third sensor associated with the third cable. The system includes a control device configured to obtain a first, second, and third signal associated with the first, second and third sensors, respectively. The control device determines a lead-lag relationship between the second and third signals and determines presence of a water tree within at least one of the second and third cable based on the lead-lag relationship. When presence of a water tree is determined, the control device generates a control action associated with repairing or replacing the second and/or third cable.

The present disclosure relates to an armoured cable (10) for transporting alternate current comprising: at least one core (12), each core comprising an electric conductor (121); at least one metallic screen (126) surrounding the at least one core (12); an armour (16), surrounding the at least one metallic screen, comprising an inner layer (16a) of armour wires and an outer layer (16b) of armour wires, at least part of the armour wires of the inner layer (16a) and at least part of the armour wires of outer layer (16b) comprising a ferromagnetic material; and a separating layer between the inner layer (16a) of armour wires and the outer layer (16b) of armour wires. The separating layer has a thickness of at least 1 mm. The present disclosure also relates to a method for reducing losses in said armoured cable and to a method for improving the performances of said armoured cable.

A first portion of the thermoplastic hard plastic sheath includes an elongated flattened shape. A second portion of the thermoplastic hard plastic sheath includes an essentially round shape. The second portion of the thermoplastic hard plastic sheath is adjacent the first portion of the thermoplastic hard plastic sheath.
