The present invention provides an identifiable armored cable sheath. In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an identifiable armored cable sheath comprising: an armored cable sheath having an outer surface, and a visual indicia applied on the outer surface of the cable sheath in a patterned arrangement, wherein the visual indicia possesses visibility features in low light. Another aspect of the present invention provides a method of making an identifiable armored cable sheath comprising: providing an armored cable sheath, and applying a visually distinctive tape to the outer surface of the sheath in a patterned arrangement.
TRACEABLE POWER CABLE AND METHOD
It is disclosed a power cable comprising at least one conductor and a hollow tube at least partially filled with a traceable material. The traceable material comprises a tracer associated with a uniquely identifiable code and is in a liquid or gel form. The tracer may comprise one or more of: coded synthetic DNA particles, a fingerprint of one or more trace materials, microdots containing a code written thereon. The tracer may also comprise radio-frequency identification, RFID, tags.

A threaded reflective cord comprises a jacket and an inner cord; the inner cord comprising more than two stranded wires twisted helically and an cladding covered on the wire strands; wherein the cladding having an inner side thereof is embedded into a helical gap which is formed when the stranded wires are twisted helically; the helical gap forms and keeps an inward pre-tightening force on the stranded wires, the jacket and the inner cord having a reflective tape disposed therebetween, the reflective tape being spirally wounded on an outer side of the cladding; the jacket having an inner side thereof is coated on the cladding and embedded into a helical groove which is formed when the reflective tape is spirally wounded on the outer side of the cladding; the flexural resistance of the threaded reflective cord and the reflection performance are enhanced.

An orange-colored adhesive tape (1) a cable-wrapping tape, including a colored textile substrate (4, 4a, 4b) and an adhesive layer (5, 5a, 5b) applied at least to one side of the substrate (4, 4a, 4b). The substrate (4, 4a, 4b) contains at least one red and at least one further colorant. In order to improve colored tapes of the above-mentioned type, in particular providing increased temperature stability, while maintaining advantageous usage properties, at least one of the colorants contains a diazo compound or is completely formed therefrom. A method and a substrate (4, 4a, 4b) for manufacturing the adhesive tape (1) as well as a cable harness (3) with the adhesive tape (1) are also described.
