Electrical cable
An electrical cable includes a conductor assembly having a first conductor, a second conductor, and an insulator structure surrounding the first conductor and the second conductor. The first and second conductors carry differential signals. The insulator structure has an outer surface. A cable shield is wrapped around the conductor assembly and engages the outer surface of the insulator structure. The cable shield has an inner edge and a flap covering the inner edge. The cable shield forms a void at the inner edge being located closer to the first conductor than the second conductor. The air void compromising the first conductor by reducing an effective dielectric constant surrounding the first conductor. The first conductor is shifted closer to the cable shield a shift distance compared to the second conductor to increase capacitance of the first conductor compared to the second conductor.
COMPOSITE CABLE
A composite cable in which noise generated by a ground wire is less likely to intrude signal lines even in the case where the ground wire is combined. The composite cable includes a plurality of wires, a separator which covers the outer circumference of the plurality of wires all together, and a sheath which covers the outer circumference of the separator. The plurality of wires includes a plurality of signal lines, a plurality of power lines, and a ground wire. The ground wire is isolated from the plurality of signal lines with the plurality of power lines interposed therebetween.
Separator tape for twisted pair in LAN cable
A cable includes a jacket surrounding first and second insulated conductors and a first dielectric tape, wherein the first insulated conductor is twisted with the second insulated conductor with the first dielectric tape residing therebetween to form a first twisted pair. The cable's jacket may also surround additional twisted pairs, which are similarly formed. In alternative or supplemental embodiments of the invention, the first dielectric tape has a hollow core possessing a gas or material with a lower dielectric constant and/or at least a first side of said first dielectric tape facing to said first insulated conductor includes a plurality of ridges and valleys.
Shielded electrical cable
A shielded electrical cable includes conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and include cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the films in combination substantially surround each conductor set. An adhesive layer bonds the shielding films together in the pinched portions of the cable. A transverse bending of the cable at a cable location of no more than 180 degrees over an inner radius of at most 2 mm causes a cable impedance of the selected insulated conductor proximate the cable location to vary by no more than 2 percent from an initial cable impedance measured at the cable location in an unbent configuration.

Communication cable
A communication cable includes a cable core including a plurality of pairs of wires, each of the pairs of wires being formed by spirally twisting two wires including conductors covered with an insulator, and an external jacket configured to cover an outer side of the cable core, where the external jacket includes a plurality of support arms to prevent contact between the cable core and an inner surface of the external jacket and to secure a separation space in a radial direction, the plurality of support arms being integrally formed with the external jacket, and each of the plurality of support arms including a connection part connected to the inner surface of the external jacket and a support part having an increased width at an end portion of the connection part to support the cable core, thereby enabling the communication cable to satisfy a standard of Cat.6A or higher.

Foamed polymer separator for cabling
A cable separator comprising a preshaped article having a longitudinal length, wherein said preshaped article is substantially entirely formed of a foamed polymer material having a glass transition temperature greater than 160 C. and being halogen-free is provided. A data communications cable comprising a plurality of conductors and the cable separator of the present invention, wherein said cable separator separates the plurality of conductors is provided. A method of manufacturing a cable comprising the separator of the invention is also provided.
Communication cables with separators having alternating projections
A cable may include a plurality of twisted pairs of individually insulated conductors, a separator positioned between the twisted pairs, and a jacket formed around the twisted pairs and the separator. The separator may include a longitudinally extending spine positioned between the plurality of twisted pairs and a plurality of projections extending from the spine. Each projection may extend between at least one adjacent set of twisted pairs. Further, along a longitudinal length of the separator, the plurality of projections extend between all of the adjacent sets of twisted pairs. However, at any given cross-sectional point along the longitudinal length, the separator does not extend between all of the adjacent sets of twisted pairs.
