A ballistic helmet comprising a ballistic shell, wherein within the thickness of the ballistic shell, or inside the ballistic shell, there is provided one or more circuit layers forming a circuit, which circuit comprises a power bus and a data bus, and wherein one or more power connections and one or more data connections are provided on the inside and/or on an edge of the ballistic shell for providing power and data to/from one or more electrical devices through the circuit.
Football helmet with impact attenuation system
A protective football helmet is provided having a one-piece molded shell with an impact attenuation system. This system includes an impact attenuation member formed in an extent of the front shell portion by removing material from the front portion. The impact attenuation member is purposely engineered to change how the front portion responds to an impact force applied substantially normal to the front portion as compared to how other portions of the shell respond to that impact force. In one version, the impact attenuation member is a cantilevered segment formed in the front portion of the shell.
Bike helmet with improved vent cover
A helmet that includes vents in the shell and removable plugs that may be positioned in the vents to provide an airtight seal while maintaining the aerodynamic shape of the helmet. The vent has an outer vent opening in the outer wall surface of the shell and an inner vent opening in the inner wall surface of the shell. The plug includes a resilient lower surface and an upper surface opposite the resilient lower surface. The resilient lower surface has a lower peripheral lip that compresses when the plug is pushed through the outer vent opening and the inner vent opening and that subsequently expands after the lower peripheral lip passes through the inner vent opening so that the lower peripheral lip engages a portion of the inner wall surface of the shell. The upper surface has an upper peripheral lip configured to conform to a portion of the outer wall surface of the shell when the plug is inserted in the vent.

A protecting helmet is disclosed having a rigid outer shell, a front opening in the rigid shell for the face of a user, a protective visor rotatable between a lowered position intercepting the front opening and a raised position disengaged from the front opening, and a raising/lowering mechanism of the protective visor. The raising/lowering mechanism has a base member, movably or integrally constrained to, or made in a single piece with, the outer shell and arranged in a side position with respect to the front opening and a fastening pin constrained in a respective opening of the protective visor. The base member has a seat adapted to rotatably and reversibly house the fastening pin and an elastic countering member for the fastening pin. The base member has an unlocking device configured to act on the elastic countering member to release the fastening pin from the seat.
PROTECTING HELMET WITH RAISING/LOWERING MECHANISM OF THE VISOR
A protecting helmet is disclosed having a rigid outer shell, a front opening in the rigid shell for the face of a user, a protective visor rotatable between a lowered position intercepting the front opening and a raised position disengaged from the front opening, and a raising/lowering mechanism of the protective visor. The raising/lowering mechanism has a base member, movably or integrally constrained to, or made in a single piece with, the outer shell and arranged in a side position with respect to the front opening and a fastening pin constrained in a respective opening of the protective visor. The base member has a seat adapted to rotatably and reversibly house the fastening pin and an elastic countering member for the fastening pin. The base member has an unlocking device configured to act on the elastic countering member to release the fastening pin from the seat.
Cycling Helmet with Rotational Impact Attenuation
A helmet having an outer liner and an inner liner is disclosed. The inner liner is positioned at least partially inside the outer liner. The helmet includes at least one chin strap anchored to the outer liner and passing through an opening in the inner liner. The helmet further includes a plurality of return springs, each having a first end coupled to the outer liner, and a second end distal to the first end and coupled to the inner liner. The return springs bias the inner liner to a first position with respect to the outer liner. The inner liner is slidably coupled to the outer liner through the plurality of return springs and slidably movable relative to the outer liner between the first position and a second position where the inner liner and outer liner are rotated away from the first position.
PROTECTING HELMET WITH RAISING/LOWERING MECHANISM OF THE VISOR
A protecting helmet is disclosed having a rigid outer shell, a front opening for the face of a user, and a protective visor having a raising/lowering mechanism. The raising/lowering mechanism has a base member, movably or integrally constrained to, or made in a single piece with, the outer shell and arranged in a side position with respect to the front opening and a fastening pin constrained in a respective opening of the protective visor. The base member has a seat adapted to rotatably and reversibly house the fastening pin; and the mechanism has member, a first magnetic-coupling member being constrained to, or made in a single piece with, the fastening pin, and a second magnetic-coupling member being constrained to, or made in a single piece with, the base member.
Ballistic and impact protective system for military helmet assembly
A helmet assembly includes a face shield and a single, center top mounting arrangement that operatively connects a center top location of the face shield to a center front mount on the helmet. The face shield can be raised and lowered about a pivot axis provided in the mounting arrangement between a tilted up, non-use position and a lowered, deployed position. The mounting arrangement can include a detent and two recesses, wherein the detent engages a first recess at a slightly forwardly displaced position to allow ventilation between the helmet and mandible and the face shield and a second recess at the tilted up, non-use position. The recess and detent engagement can be overcome by easy manual force acting on the face shield to reposition the face shield.

A protective helmet, including a hard outer shell, a hard inner shell slidingly connected to, and spaced apart from, the outer shell, and a leaf spring including a center portion, a first end, and a second end, the leaf spring anchored only at the center portion onto the hard outer shell, the first end unattached to, and in sliding contact with the hard inner shell, and the second end unattached to, and in sliding contact with the hard inner shell. In a neutral position, the first end is spaced from the second end by a first distance, and when a force strikes the helmet, the first end is spaced from the second end by a second distance, the second distance being different from the first distance.
