HELMET WITH CHIN CRUSH ZONE AND INTEGRATED VENTILATION
A chin-bar for a helmet with a crumple zone and an integrated air-flow system formed from passages running internally from the bottom to the top of the chin-bar. A scoop at the bottom of the chin-bar controls air flow. Diffusers at the top provide de-misting and fresh air to the rider.
Protective headgear
A protective headgear for equestrian use provides a traditional style cowboy hat with protective features to allow it to comply with prevailing equestrian helmet standards. The hat includes interior protective padding in the top of the dome, exterior protective padding below the crown of the dome, and exterior protective padding on the rear of the hat below the brim. The protective padding may be secured to the hat by adhesive, stitching, or mechanical fasteners. A chin strap securement system comprising mutually connectable strap-and-buckle assemblies is optionally provided.

Electrical connection for suspension band attachment slot of a hard hat
A suspension band assembly to be used to support a hard hat on a head of a user. The suspension band assembly includes a primary support loop to receive the head of the user therein. An electronic peripheral is fixedly secured to the primary support loop. An attachment strap extends out from the primary support loop to a strap distal end. An anchor is fixedly secured to the strap distal end for securing the attachment strap to the hard hat. An electrical anchor contact is fixedly secured to the anchor to provide an electrical connection between the hard hat and the electronic peripheral located on the primary support loop.
Face shield systems for securing removable face shield lenses
An example face shield includes a face shield lens comprising a locking channel, a face shield shell configured to receive the face shield lens when the face shield is inserted into the face shield shell, and a lens lock configured to move between: a locked position in which the lens lock is configured to engage the locking channel of the face shield to secure the face shield lens to the face shield shell; and an unlocked position in which the lens lock is configured to disengage the locking channel of the face shield to permit insertion of the face shield to the face shield shell and removal of the face shield from the face shield shell.

An example face shield includes a face shield lens comprising a locking channel, a face shield shell configured to receive the face shield lens when the face shield is inserted into the face shield shell, and a lens lock configured to move between: a locked position in which the lens lock is configured to engage the locking channel of the face shield to secure the face shield lens to the face shield shell; and an unlocked position in which the lens lock is configured to disengage the locking channel of the face shield to permit insertion of the face shield to the face shield shell and removal of the face shield from the face shield shell.
Safety helmet with a sheathed bearing element, process for removing the sheathing from the safety helmet and process for manufacturing such a safety helmet
A safety helmet (100) with a helmet shell (7), with a bearing element (5), with at least one holding element (2, 9.l, 9.r, 28) and with a tubular shape textile sheathing. Each holding element (2, 9.l, 9.r, 28) is permanently connected to the helmet shell (7). A distance is present between a holding element (2, 9.l, 9.r, 28) and the head of a user of the safety helmet (100). The bearing element (5) is adjacent to the head. The textile sheathing encloses the bearing element (5) and is located in some areas between the bearing element (5) and the head. The bearing element (5) is detachably connectable to a respective holding element through at least one connection opening in the textile sheathing. A process for removing the textile sheathing from the safety helmet (100), as well as to a process for manufacturing a safety helmet (100) are provided.

A cap for use with protective headgear, comprising: a stiff shell forming a layer that covers the internal surface area defined by the cap and formed from one or more sections; an adjustment mechanism, configured to adjust the form of the stiff shell to conform to an individual wearer's head, in a first operation mode, and configured to fix the form of the shell, in a second operation mode; and wherein the cap is configured such that the stiff shell substantially retains the fixed form during normal use and when subject to forces imparted to the cap during an impact.
Ballistic and impact protective system for military helmet assembly
A helmet assembly includes a face shield and a single, center top mounting arrangement that operatively connects a center top location of the face shield to a center front mount on the helmet. The face shield can be raised and lowered about a pivot axis provided in the mounting arrangement between a tilted up, non-use position and a lowered, deployed position. The mounting arrangement can include a detent and two recesses, wherein the detent engages a first recess at a slightly forwardly displaced position to allow ventilation between the helmet and mandible and the face shield and a second recess at the tilted up, non-use position. The recess and detent engagement can be overcome by easy manual force acting on the face shield to reposition the face shield.
RECLINING HELMET MOUNT APPARATUS
A helmet mount apparatus includes a reclining mount assembly having transversely spaced apart pivot arms. An upper end of each pivot arm is attached to a mount base member and configured for pivoting movement about a first transverse pivot axis. A lower end of each pivot arm is attached to a viewing device and configured for pivoting movement about a second transverse pivot axis. The pivot arms are pivotable about the first transverse pivot axis between a viewing position in front of an eye of a user and a stowed position above the helmet. The pivot arms are pivotable about the second transverse pivot axis to adjust a viewing angle of the viewing device or reduce a profile of the viewing device when the pivot arms are in the viewing position or stowed position, respectively.
