Helmet

A helmet for protecting a wearer's head. The helmet includes an outer shell including a first shell member and a second shell member movable relative to one another in a longitudinal direction of the helmet to adjust a fit of the helmet on the wearer's head. The helmet includes an adjustment mechanism configured to control movement of the first shell member and the second shell member relative to one another. The adjustment mechanism includes an actuator movable between a first position in which the first shell member and the second shell member are allowed to move relative to one another and a second position in which the first shell member and the second shell member are precluded from moving relative to one another. The actuator is configured to lock the first shell member and the second shell member relative to one another without extending through a given one of the first shell member and the second shell member.

Adjustable helmet with side protective members

A protective helmet with first and second helmet sections each including an outer shell section and an inner layer section of protective material. The first and second helmet sections are displaceable relative to one another to adjust a size of the helmet. Two opposed side protective members are received inwardly of the outer shell sections on opposed sides of the helmet. Means for adjusting a position of the side protective members relative to the inner layer sections of protective material are provided. The means are configured such that, when the protective helmet is adjusted when on the head of the wearer, the protective members remain substantially stationary with respect to the head of the wearer when the inner layer sections are displaced with the first and second helmet sections.

SAFETY HELMET WITH INTERCHANGEABLE LAYERS
20230117538 · 2023-04-20 ·

A modular helmet system with a removable/detachable/interchangeable exterior shell, an inner force-absorbing layer releasably connected to the rigid exterior shell layer, and a multiple fastening devices associated with the shell which allow the shell to be interchanged/replaced/reconfigured at will. The shell as a single piece unit, or combinable components bear the fastening devices designed to enable rapid, secure interchange of the helmet system's layers, therefore allowing the helmet to be adapted for climatic, functional, and aesthetic preferences.

DUAL HELMET

The present disclosure relates to a dual helmet that can be easily converted into two sets of helmets having protective cushioning, and which are comfortable, yet strong, safe, and up to the required standards The helmet includes a first shell and a second shell defining a shell of a first helmet and a second helmet, respectively. The second shell is removably disposed over the first shell such that the helmet can be used as a single combine helmet when the shells are together, and further, the second shell can be separated from the first shell to form two separate helmets. The helmet includes a first cushion disposed within the first shell, and a second cushion for the second helmet being removably configured within the first cushion such that the second cushion can be separated by slightly ending it, and later can be configured with the second shell to form the second helmet and the first helmet, as required.

HELMET

A helmet is disclosed including: a helmet body; a jaw guard with two fork handles through which the jaw guard is mounted on the helmet body and rotatable around a fixed axis relative to the helmet body; a shield assembly including a shield and a bracket, which is movable between a lowered position and a raised position relative to the helmet body; and a lifting mechanism including a trigger located beside the bracket of the shield assembly and driven by the fork handles of the jaw guard, and the trigger can touch the bracket of the shield assembly at the lowered position and raise the shield assembly from the lowered position. The lifting mechanism further includes an elastic element with one end connected with the bracket, which is arranged to make the shield assembly continue to move to the raised position after the shield assembly leaves the lowered position.

SPORT HELMET

A protective sport helmet includes an outer shell, and an inner padding mounted within the outer shell for at least partially covering the wearer's head, the inner padding defining a base face oriented toward the wearer's head and at least one pedestal extending from the base face away from the outer shell, the pedestal defining a pedestal face facing the wearer's head. At least one tangential shock absorber has a first face at least partially covering the pedestal face and a second face opposed the first face and configured for contacting the wearer's head. The tangential shock absorber includes a shearable member that is deformable such that the first face is movable relative to the second face in a direction having a radial component relative to an axis normal to the pedestal face.

The present technology relates to a helmet of a layered and segmented design including impact attenuation structures. The helmet can include a series of layers that individually, or in combination, provide the necessary functions of the helmet. The helmet may feature a layer with a low coefficient of friction to act as a slip layer and slide due to rotational force. The present technology includes impact attenuation structures of predetermined geometries, layers, and materials to allow for an appropriate impact response with a certain degree of control over the buckling process and an adaptive impact response. The present technology of impact attenuation structures may be applicable where impact absorption and controlled buckling is desired, such as bike helmets.

Helmet Breath Guard

A helmet breath guard add-on which is capable of effectively preventing steam formation in a helmet shield, thereby removing inconveniences when wearing a helmet, is disclosed. The breath guard may be made from a flexible yet solid elastomeric material providing for an adequate elastic adjustment, and allowing a fit to a wide variety of different helmet user faces. Preferably, the single piece nature of the breath guard allows for the prevention of leaks for adequate helmet fog reduction. The elastic nature of the material allows the breath guard to generally keep its shape even when distorted from the putting on and the removal of the helmet.

Ballistic and impact protective system for military helmet assembly

A helmet attachment system is usable to attach a mandible or face or mouth guard. The helmet attachment system also comprises a pair of attachment bases, each arranged on a side of the helmet near to an ear covering of the helmet. The attachment bases each include a metal base plate covered by an attached body block. Each attachment base provides provisions for attaching opposite ends of a mandible to the bases. The metal base plate includes hooks for engaging an edge of the helmet. A pair of strap assemblies is provided, each strap assembly connected to one attachment base. The strap assemblies extend rearward and are connected to the back rail by a buckle member on the end of each strap assembly. The back rail includes a pair of buckle member-receiving slots. The straps assemblies and the hooks provided on the attachment bases secure the attachment bases to the helmet.
