20170164679 · 2017-06-15 ·

An integral helmet, in particular a so-called full-face helmet, that is preferably designed with a shell construction, comprising a helmet upper-shell unit with an integrated neck unit and a chin protection unit with a jaw clamp, wherein the chin protection unit is detachably connectable to the helmet upper-shell unit so as to form the integral helmet, wherein the chin protection unit is designed for connection to the neck unit as an open chin bar unit with end areas that are separated from one another at a distance so that, in the assembled state, the end areas form a completely closed unit together with the neck unit. Also, a method for connecting and/or disconnecting, without the use of tools, a chin protection unit having a jaw clamp to, or from, a helmet upper-shell unit having an integrated neck unit, so as to form an integral helmet, in particular an integral helmet.

Protective helmet of reducible dimensions for sports use, in particular for use by cyclists

A protective sports helmet includes a cap structure having a plurality of structurally independent cap portions and mutually connected to flexible interconnecting members such that the helmet has at least one overall configuration of minimum dimensions when not worn, with the parts of the cap mutually adjacent to each other, separate from an operating condition having maximum dimensions when worn. The parts of the cap are held together by interconnecting members in positions at a suitable distance from each other configured to enclose a user's head. The portions include corresponding sections each extending continuously between the frontal and occipital extremities, of longitudinal extent between those extremities which predominates in comparison with their transverse extent, the sections extending substantially parallel and at a distance from each other so that in the configuration having the minimum dimensions adjacent sections abut each other along lateral sides which transversely bound each section.

Helmet chin curtain

A helmet chin curtain add-on for effectively preventing wind, cold temperature and noise from entering into a helmet, thereby removing inconveniences when wearing a helmet, is disclosed. The chin curtain is preferably made from a resilient flexible solid material providing for an adequate elastic adjustment, allowing a fit to a wide variety of different helmets. The single piece nature of the chin curtain preferably allows for the prevention of leaks for adequate wind and noise reduction. The elastomeric nature of the material allows the chin curtain to retain its shape even when distorted from putting on and the removing the helmet.

HEADBAND HAVING INTEGRATED FUNCTIONAL CUSHION CASE

The present invention relates to a functional/multi-purpose head cushion for a headband; the headband is formed from a head cushion comprising: a main body which is depressively formed from up, down, left and right towards the central part; a fixing clip which is provided on the upper part of the main body and is inserted into the band main body or the support band; and banding members for integrally connecting both end portions of the fixing clip and the upper edge portions of the main body, wherein the head cushion is formed from a resilient material so as to have easy shape transformation and resilience and is insert-provided inside the headband and thereby assist in supporting a wearer's head.

ADJUSTABLE FIT SYSTEMS FOR USE WITH PROTECTIVE HELMETS AND HELMET AND ADJUSTABLE FIT ASSEMBLIES
20250064164 · 2025-02-27 ·

A helmet and adjustable fit assembly include an adjustable fit system attachable to a helmet shell configured to at least partially cover a wearer's head. The helmet shell includes outer and inner components, a front, back, left side region, and right side region. The adjustable fit system includes a fit strap or cable configured to engage a wearer's head and having two opposing ends, a first end configured to attach to the left side region and a second end configured to attach to the right side region. An actuator of the adjustable fit system is configured to attach to the left or right side region of the helmet and be operably connected to the fit strap or cable so that actuating the actuator selectively increases or decreases a length of the fit strap or cable in order to selectively loosen or tighten the fit strap or cable, respectively, relative to the wearer's head.

Inflatable helmet

DEPLOYABLE SEGMENTED SPORT EQUIPMENT
20170143054 · 2017-05-25 ·

The present invention is a deployable segmented sport equipment for reducing the impact force on sport equipment worn by a user by using deployable panels. The invention has a body defining a recess, and a panel movable within the recess. The panel includes a panel magnetic element capable of being acted upon by a magnetic force. An electromagnet is provided producing an attractive or repulsive magnetic force on the panel magnetic element. A proximity sensing device capable of sensing an object at a distance from the deployable segmented sport equipment is provided with the body. An electronic controller unit receives signals from the proximity sensing device and controls operation of the controllable magnetic element so as to deploy or retract the panel from or into the recess. The panel being deployed prior to impact with the object, with the repulsive force being controlled to absorb the impact force after impact.
