A microwave device capable of increasing an amount of heat generated at the tip end thereof. The microwave device having a central conductor that transmits microwaves, an insulator covering the central conductor, and an external conductor covering the insulator. The central conductor is exposed to the outside from a tip end of a microwave irradiation part for the first time, and an externally exposed part of the exposed central conductor is bent toward the base end side of the microwave emitting unit so as to be along the external conductor.

Data communications cable that utilizes multiple dielectric materials associated with different relative permittivities
11915839 · 2024-02-27 · ·

A data communications cable may communicatively coupled two components associated with an information handling system. For example, the data communications cable may include: a differential pair of conductors; a first dielectric material, associated with a first relative permittivity, surrounding the differential pair of conductors; and a second dielectric material, associated with a second relative permittivity, surrounding the first dielectric material. For instance, the first relative permittivity may be greater than the second relative permittivity, and a distance between the differential pair of conductors may vary plus or minus an amount with a length of the data communications cable.

Signal transmission cable

A signal transmission cable is provided with a conductor, an insulator covering around the conductor, a shield layer covering around the insulator, a sheath covering around the shield layer, and a plating base layer is provided between the insulator and the shield layer to cover around the insulator. The shield layer has a plating layer provided to cover the plating base layer to be in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the plating base layer. A surface roughness of an outer peripheral surface of the plating layer is less than a surface roughness of an inner peripheral surface of the plating layer.

Coaxial radio frequency connectors for high-power handling

Coaxial radio frequency (RF) connectors for high-power handling are disclosed. Specifically, a high-power male coaxial connector (HPMC) is disclosed. The HPMC includes a center conductor, an outer conductor disposed around the center conductor, an insulating layer positioned between the center conductor and the outer conductor, and a first elastomer. The outer conductor has an outer conductor front-end (OCFE) and the insulating layer has an insulating layer front-end (ILFE). The first elastomer is positioned between the center conductor and the insulating layer. The insulating layer may include an insulating layer cavity (ILC) extending inward into the insulating layer from the ILFE and the first elastomer may be within the ILC.

APPARATUS AND METHOD UTILIZING A TRANSMISSION MEDIUM WITH A HOLLOW PATHWAY

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a transmission medium for propagating electromagnetic waves. The transmission medium can include a core for propagating electromagnetic waves guided by the core without an electrical return path, a rigid material surrounding the core, wherein an inner surface of the rigid material is separated from an outer surface of the core, and a conductive layer disposed on the rigid material. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Method of Testing a Fire Resistant Coaxial Cable
20190237221 · 2019-08-01 · ·

Methods of testing and installing fire-resistant coaxial cables are described. The dielectric between the coax cable's central conductor and outer coaxial conductor ceramify under high heat, such as those specified by common fire test standards (e.g., 1850 F./1010 C. for two hours). The dielectric can be composed of ceramifiable silicone rubber, such as that having a polysiloxane matrix with inorganic flux and refractory particles. Because thick layers of uncured ceramifiable silicone rubber deform under their own weight when curing, multiple thinner layers are coated and serially cured in order to build up the required thickness. A sacrificial sheath mold is used to hold each layer of uncured ceramifiable silicone rubber in place around the central conductor while curing. The outer conductor can be a metal foil, metal braid, and/or corrugated metal. Another layer of extruded ceramifiable silicone dielectric or an outer wrap of ceramic fiber yarn surrounds the outer conductor and continues to insulate it from the outside if a low smoke zero halogen jacket burns away.
