A computerized discrete wire inventory indexing system organizes and automates the intake of wiring used in a wire harness assembly work cell. Functions in a work cell may be duplicated into a second arrangement symmetrically opposite to a first arrangement so that an indexing system in accordance with the invention may operate between or alongside the adjacent work cells to execute its tasks in tandem and produce pairs of wires to be used within the two work cells. The wire indexing system operates with a tandem wire pulling machine on a movable shuttle that grabs pairs of wires from the indexing system and draws them to length. Both the shuttle and the wire indexing system may includes fixtures for stripping and terminating wires by crimping terminals onto prepared wire ends. Computer control enables rapid and correct wire production and efficient process change-overs.
Method of assembling a loudspeaker
A method of assembling a loudspeaker may include resiliently coupling a voice coil assembly to a transducer basket, the voice coil assembly including a voice coil and first and second lead wires having corresponding proximal and distal ends, where the proximal ends of the lead wires are attached to the voice coil. The method also includes forming a first segment of the first lead wire into a first shape, and forming a second segment of the second lead wire into a second shape. The method also includes affixing an intermediate portion of the first lead wire to a first location on the transducer basket, and affixing an intermediate portion of the second lead wire to a second location on the transducer basket. The method also includes conductively coupling the distal ends of the first and second lead wires to a harness configured to directly connect to an amplifier board.

A wire harness manufacturing system includes an assembly line that manufactures a wire harness and one or a plurality of supply devices that prepares to supply component magazines in which components of the wire harness are loaded in a holder to the assembly line. Each of the supply devices is capable of preparing a plurality of the component magazines which are different according to types of the components. The component magazines are capable of delivering from the supply devices to at least a part of the series of assembly steps in a state of being independent of both the assembly line and the supply device.
WIRE HARNESS PRODUCING DEVICE
A wire harness producing device configured to produce a wire harness by displaying a wire laying-out drawing in a full size in a length direction on a plurality of display devices, and laying-out electric wires along the wire laying-out drawing. The device includes a displaying control section configured to look up operation recipe information configured as a database capable of identifying wire laying-out order numbers of the electric wires, and in turn display wire laying-out position indicators configured to indicate positions of the electric wires to be laid out, on the plurality of display devices, according to a wire laying-out order of the electric wires. The operation recipe information includes coordinate information for indicating displaying positions for the wire laying-out position indicators. The displaying control section is configured to display the wire laying-out position indicators, in the displaying positions indicated by the coordinate information on the plurality of display devices.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING WIRE HARNESS
A wire harness producing method configured to produce a wire harness by arranging a plurality of display devices end to end, each including a display portion and a bezel arranged around a periphery of the display portion, displaying a wire laying-out drawing on the display devices, and laying out an electric wire along the wire laying-out drawing. The method includes compartmentalizing a two-dimensional image of the wire harness into display regions to be displayed on the display portions of the display devices respectively and non-display regions corresponding to the bezels of the display devices respectively, with the display regions and the non-display regions conforming to sizes of the display portions and the bezels respectively, trimming the two-dimensional image to create wire laying-out image data composed of only the display regions, and displaying the wire laying-out drawing on the display devices, based on the wire laying-out image data.
Distribution member and method of manufacturing the same
A distribution member includes plural electric wire pairs each including a pair of electric wires, a first fixing member integrally fixing the electric wire pairs, and a second fixing member that is separated from the first fixing member and integrally fixes electric wires of at least one of the electric wire pairs. The first fixing member and the second fixing member each include a holder holding the electric wires and a resin mold part that includes a molding resin and is molded so as to cover a part of the electric wire pairs held by the holder. The holder includes at least one interposed part that is interposed between the held electric wires. The distribution member further includes a combining part that is integrally formed with the holders of the first and second fixing members and combines the holders of the first and second fixing members.

A wire harness including: a wire bundle that includes a plurality of wires, each wire of the plurality of wires includes a conductor and an insulating covering that covers an outer circumference of the conductor, and each wire of the plurality of wires includes an exposed portion at which the conductor is exposed from the insulating covering; a splice body; and a waterproofing cover, wherein: at the splice body, the exposed portions of the wires forming the wire bundle are bonded to each other, a portion of the wire bundle that is adjacent to the splice body and at which the conductors are covered by the insulating coverings is a covered region, the waterproofing cover integrally covers the splice body and the covered region with a resin material.
