POWER TOOL HAVING STAMPED BRAKE RESISTOR
Systems and methods for braking a power tool using a stamped brake resistor. The power tool includes a motor, a trigger configured to be actuated, and a brake switch coupled to the motor. A brake resistor assembly is selectively coupled to the motor via the brake switch and includes a stamped brake resistor. The stamped brake resistor includes a terminal portion and a resistive portion. The resistive portion includes a planar serpentine path. A controller including an electronic processor and a memory is coupled to the trigger, the motor, and the brake switch, and is configured to control power delivered to the motor based on a position of the trigger, determine to brake the motor during operation of the motor, and activate, in response to determining to brake the motor, the brake switch to connect the stamped brake resistor to the motor.
Electrical resistor, in particular for medical implants
An electrical resistor has a resistance conductor, which is applied to a carrier layer, and two connection elements, which are electrically conductively connected to the resistance conductor. The two connection elements are configured to each be welded or soldered to an electrical contact in order to electrically contact the resistor. The resistance conductor for each connection element has a region that overlaps the corresponding connection element. The overlap region is in electrical contact with the corresponding connection element.

CHIP RESISTOR
An object is to provide a chip resistor in which hot spots can be dispersed and the adverse effects on performance caused by microcracks can also be reduced. A chip resistor includes an insulating substrate, a resistive element, and electrodes. In the resistive element, a first trimming groove and a second trimming groove are formed. A first vertical groove of the first trimming groove and a second vertical groove of the second trimming groove are formed with a spacing in between in an X1-X2 direction. A first horizontal groove of the first trimming groove and a second horizontal groove of the second trimming groove extend in directions approaching each other, and terminal ends of the first horizontal groove and the second horizontal groove are formed to be separated in the X1-X2 direction such that the first horizontal groove and the second horizontal groove do not overlap in a Y1-Y2 direction.

Voltage dividing resistor
Herein disclosed is a voltage dividing resistor comprising a resistance bar and a plurality of dividing connectors. The resistance bar has a first end and a second end and provides a first current path, which stretches from the first end to the second end along the resistance bar. The distance between the first end and the second end is less than the length of the first current path. The first and second ends are configured to be electrically connected to a power source. The dividing connectors are electrically connected to different locations on the first current path. Each of the dividing connectors has a contact pad. The resistance bar is not coplanar with the contact pads. A divided voltage is obtained from a pair of dividing connectors chosen from the plurality of dividing connectors.

Resistor with upper surface heat dissipation
Resistors and a method of manufacturing resistors are described herein. A resistor includes a resistive element and a plurality of upper heat dissipation elements. The plurality of heat dissipation elements are electrically insulated from one another via a dielectric material and thermally coupled to the resistive element via an adhesive material disposed between each of the plurality of heat dissipation elements and a surface of the resistive element. Electrode layers are provided on a bottom surface of the resistive element. Solderable layers form side surfaces of the resistor and assist in thermally coupling the heat dissipation elements, the resistor and the electrode layers.
