WEARABLE PUMP ASSEMBLY
A wearable infusion pump assembly includes a reusable housing assembly, and a disposable housing assembly including a reservoir for receiving an infusible fluid. A releasable engagement assembly is configured to allow the reusable housing assembly to releasably engage the disposable housing assembly. A detachable external infusion set is configured to deliver the infusible fluid to a user.
Adhesive and peripheral systems and methods for medical devices
A repeater system may control a pump by using a repeater and a user interface. An adhesive patch system may be used for affixing a pump or other object to a human body. Such an adhesive patch system may include two sets of adhesive members, each member including an adhesive material on at least one side so as to attach to the body. The members of the first set are spaced to allow the members of the second set to attach to the body in spaces provided between the members of the first set, and the members of the second set are spaced to allow members of the first set to detach from the body without detaching the members of the second set. Also, fill stations and base stations are provided for personal pump systems.
Patch-sized fluid delivery systems and methods
A patch-sized fluid delivery device may include a reusable portion and a disposable portion. The disposable portion may include components that come into contact with the fluid, while the reusable portion may include only components that do not come into contact with the fluid. Redundant systems, such as redundant controllers, power sources, motor actuators, and alarms, may be provided. Alternatively or additionally, certain components can be multi-functional, such a microphones and loudspeakers that may be used for both acoustic volume sensing and for other functions and a coil that may be used as both an inductive coupler for a battery recharger and an antenna for a wireless transceiver. Various types of network interfaces may be provided in order to allow for remote control and monitoring of the device.
Priming system for infusion devices
Priming systems and infusion assemblies are provided. For example, a priming system comprises a priming conduit having a priming portion and a pressure portion. The priming portion is in fluid communication with a first fluid source, with an inlet and an outlet for ingress and egress of a first fluid from the first fluid source. The pressure portion is in fluid communication with a second fluid source connected by a connector. Disposed within the priming conduit are a biasing member and a valve having an open position and a closed position. The biasing member is in operable communication with the valve to urge the valve into the closed position such that the valve defaults to the closed position. The open position allows the first fluid to flow from the inlet to the outlet and the closed position prevents the first fluid from flowing from the inlet to the outlet.
CASSETTE ASSEMBLY FOR AMBULATORY DRUG PUMP
A cassette for attachment and use with an infusion pump apparatus. The cassette head having a low profile cassette head for attaching to the infusion pump apparatus and a flexible reservoir attached to the cassette head that can be filled with a fluid to be administered to a patient. The reservoir is enclosed in a flexible cover attached to the cassette. The flexibility of the cover and the reservoir inhibits the cassette head from disengaging from the infusion pump apparatus and allows the infusion pump apparatus to be primed by squeezing or pressing the cover and reservoir.
Wearable injector
A wearable injector for automated delivery of biologic drugs that solves the problem of high volume and high viscosity drug administration by providing a device that can be worn by the patient through use of an adhesive patch to deliver the medication slowly over extended periods of time.
AMBULATORY MEDICAMENT PUMP VOICE OPERATION
Ambulatory medical devices that provide therapy to a subject, such as blood glucose control, are disclosed. Disclosed systems and devices can transmit a request to modify blood glucose control therapy delivered to a subject. The request can be transmitted via a voice-activated control system, the ambulatory medicament pump can include a medicament reservoir, a pump controller, a wireless data interface, and/or other elements. The device can receive an indication that the request to modify therapy is approved and, in response to the indication that the request to modify the blood glucose control therapy is approved, instruct the pump controller to modify the blood glucose control therapy delivered to the subject.
CLOUD-CONNECTED AMBULATORY PUMP INTEGRATION
Ambulatory medical devices, which includes ambulatory medicament pumps, and blood glucose control systems that provide therapy to a subject, such as blood glucose control, are disclosed. Disclosed systems and devices can implement one or more features that improve the user experience, such as prompting and/or facilitating the user to order additional infusion sets, sensors, and/or other components to facilitate treatment.
