CATHETER VENT ASSEMBLY AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A catheter system may include a needleless connector, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a valve disposed between the distal end of the needleless connector and the proximal end of the needleless connector. The catheter system may include a vent assembly, which may include a proximal component and a distal component. The proximal component may include a male luer adapter, which may include a male luer. The distal component may include a distal end coupled to the proximal end of the needleless connector, and a proximal end coupled to the male luer adapter. In response to movement of the proximal component from a proximal position to a distal position with respect to the distal component, the male luer of the male luer adapter may open the valve to vent air inside the catheter system.
Infusion Pump Apparatus, Method and System
An infusion pump system is disclosed. The infusion pump system includes an infusion pump and a controller device in wireless communication with the infusion pump, wherein the controller including instructions for controlling the infusion pump, wherein the instructions may be synchronized with a secure web portal.
FILTER-INTEGRATED MEDICINE TRANSFER DEVICE AND MEDICINAL LIQUID INJECTION APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A channel for a medicinal liquid is formed in a filter-integrated medicine transfer device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The filter-integrated medicine transfer device includes: a housing having an air passage that diverges from a medicinal liquid channel and is connected to outside; at least one hydrophobic air-passing filter disposed in the housing and disposed at a boundary between the air passage and the medicinal liquid channel; and at least one medicine transfer pipe disposed in the housing and having a capillary channel constituting a portion of the medicinal liquid channel.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH AIR AND BACKFLOW ELIMINATION
A wearable drug delivery device that can deliver a liquid drug stored in a container to a patient or user is provided. A soft needle or cannula can be placed in fluid communication with the liquid drug and can be coupled to a needle insertion component that provides access to the patient. A drive system of the drug delivery device can expel the liquid drug from the container to the patient through the soft needle or cannula. The wearable drug delivery device can include components for preventing backflow and eliminating air within the liquid drug. As a result, the comfort of the patient can be enhanced and correct drug dosages can be provided when using the drug delivery device.
AUTO PRIMING VENT PLUG
An air venting device may include an adapter comprising a tubular body having a hollow interior defining a fluid flow path, and a vent plug detachably coupled to at least a portion of the tubular body. The vent plug may include an inner circumferential surface defining an internal chamber of the vent plug, and the fluid flow path of the adapter may fluidly communicate the adapter with the internal chamber of the vent plug. The vent plug may further include a superabsorbent polymer material disposed in the internal chamber. The superabsorbent polymer material may be configured to (i) absorb a liquid entering the internal chamber from the fluid flow path, and (ii) expand in volume as the liquid is absorbed into the superabsorbent polymer material. Air entrained in the liquid entering the internal chamber may be vented to an exterior of the air venting device via the vent plug.
FLUID INJECTION DEVICE
A fluid injection device having a body for coming into contact with an injection site (SI); at least two fluid reservoirs (210); and an injection needle (120) for penetrating into the injection site (SI) so as to inject therein the contents of one or more reservoir(s) (210); the device further has a single rotary actuator (130) that, when it turns in a first direction of rotation, activates the selection of the reservoir(s) (210) to be dispensed, and that, when it turns in the opposite direction, actuates a dispenser system, in particular a peristaltic pump (150).
AMBULATORY MEDICAMENT PUMP WITH INTEGRATED MEDICAMENT ORDERING INTERFACE
Ambulatory medical devices that provide therapy to a subject, such as blood glucose control, are disclosed. Disclosed systems and devices can implement one or more features that improve the user experience, such as maintain delivery of therapy to a subject after determining that a possible occlusion exists in a medicament delivery system. The system can receive an indication of an amount of initial medicament in possession of the subject and determine a rate of consumption of medicament. The system can determine the amount of total remaining medicament and determine that the amount of the total remaining medicament is below a threshold amount. Based on this, the system may generate a user alert that indicates that additional supply of medicament may be necessary.
INTRADERMAL DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
An intradermal fluid delivery device that uses a processor controlled electromechanical delivery mechanism is provided. An air pump pushes fluid containing medication or saline from a fluid compartment through a microneedle array into a person's skin. The processor repeatedly turns the air pump on or off, for the fluid to gradually be injected into the person's skin. The processor may be configured to control the total fluid delivery time as well as the granularity of the fluid delivery. The total fluid delivery time may be set to T, and the time period T may be divided into smaller periods t.sub.1 to t.sub.n, where the fluid may be administered in a period t1, the fluid delivery may then be stopped for a period t2, followed by another fluid delivery period, etc. The periods t1 to tn may be the same or of different lengths.
Infusion pump methods, systems and apparatus
A system for priming an infusion pump is disclosed. The system includes a priming cap including a septum and configured to matably connect with a male part comprising a needle and attached to a length of tubing for fluid, wherein when matably connected with the male part, the priming cap occludes the tubing.
MEDICATION FLUID DELIVERY DEVICE
A medication fluid delivery device and methods are provided with the delivery device having a dispensing unit and a drive unit that are attachable together. The dispensing unit includes a dispenser for delivering medication fluid to a user and a reservoir configured to be filled with a variable amount of medication fluid received from a medication fluid injector. The drive unit includes a control unit that controls the drive unit and causes medication fluid in the reservoir to be pumped through the dispenser and includes a registration mechanism configured to act with the dispensing unit to determine a state the reservoir including an initial level of the filled reservoir.
