A drug solution administration apparatus includes an injection unit comprising an injection member configured to inject a drug solution; a delivery unit configured to be coupled to and decoupled from the injection unit, the delivery unit comprising: a delivery member configured to deliver the drug solution to the injection member, and a delivery device configured to deliver the drug solution to the delivery member; a detection unit configured to detect whether the injection unit and the delivery unit are coupled or decoupled; and a control unit configured to control operation of the delivery device. The control unit is configured to perform at least one of (i) restricting the filling operation when the detection unit detects that the injection unit and the delivery unit are coupled, or (ii) restricting the administration operation when the detection unit detects that the injection unit and the delivery unit are decoupled.

Systems and methods for intermittent infusion

Systems and methods are provided for intermittent microinfusion. A system may include a pump and an IV set that includes a y-port valve disposed below a pump interface portion of the IV tubing. The y-port valve may include an internal valve member that allows fluid to flow from the pump to a patient when no syringe is attached to the y-port. The internal valve member may be moved by the attachment of a syringe containing the medication to be infused to the y-port such that the fluid pathway from the pump to the patient is blocked and fluid from the syringe can be injected into the IV tubing between the y-port valve and the pump. The pump may retrograde pump the medication into the tubing via the y-port valve and then forward pump the medication to the patient when the syringe is removed from the y-port.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL INTERVENTION DEVICE
20200108199 · 2020-04-09 ·

A therapeutic device for treating an acute medical condition of a patient such as cardiac arrest is provided. The device includes one or more sensors that monitor parameters such as heart rhythm that relate to the patient's medical condition. The device also includes a plurality of medication reservoirs, each reservoir including a conduit, wherein each reservoir holds a predetermined medication that may be used to treat the condition. A manifold is connected with the reservoirs via their respective conduits. A delivery line is connected with the manifold to deliver fluids from the manifold to the patient intravenously. One or more medication pumps are in fluid connection with respective ones of the reservoirs. A processor is connected with the sensors. The processor includes a memory that stores processing instructions to interpret the parameters and to determine a recommended medication to deliver to the patient based on the parameters, the recommended medication being one of the predetermined medications. The processor is operatively connected with the medication pumps. When a recommended medication is determined, the processor actuates the medication pump connected with the reservoir including the recommended medication to deliver the medication to the patient via the manifold and the delivery line.
