The present application is discloses a battery assembly and an electronic cigarette. The battery assembly comprises: a battery sleeve, a battery sleeved within the battery sleeve, a control module electrically connected to the battery, and an adjustable resistor electrically connected to the control module. One end of the battery sleeve is movably sleeved with an adjustment mechanism used for adjusting the adjustable resistor. The adjustable resistor is adjusted via rotating and pressing the adjustment mechanism, and the output power of the battery assembly is thereby adjusted. When in a normal state, the adjustment mechanism is accommodated within the battery sleeve, preventing false operation. When adjustment of the output power of the battery assembly is required, the adjustment mechanism is extended out of the battery sleeve for adjustment to be performed. Adjustment is convenient and fast, and user experience is improved.
