Syringe pump and related method

A syringe pump includes a lead screw, a motor, and a sliding block assembly. The lead screw has threads and the motor is coupled to the lead screw to rotate it. The half-nut housing has a half nut and a barrel cam. The half nut is disposed within the half-nut housing. The half nut has half-nut threads at an end adjacent to the lead screw void. The half nut engages or disengages with the threads of the lead screw. The half nut includes a half-nut cam-follower surface and a half nut slot. The barrel cam is disposed within the half-nut housing and engages with the half-nut cam-follower surface. The barrel cam includes a pin to fit within the half nut slot such that the barrel cam rotates between a first position and a second position to actuate the half nut between the engagement position and the disengagement position, respectively.

Fluid flow manifold assemblies for use in fluid flow sets are provided. The fluid flow manifold assembly includes a body having a main fluid channel and a reinforcing plate, the main fluid channel having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a drug port. A flow control assembly is disposed opposite the main fluid channel from the drug port. The flow control assembly is configured to shut off fluid flow through the drug port into the main fluid channel with a plunger of the flow control assembly in a closed position and to allow incremental levels of fluid flow through the drug port into the main fluid channel by variably retracting the plunger based on rotation of a knob of the flow control assembly.

PERFUSION DOSAGE FORM

The present invention relates to a method for enabling hospitals or clinics to administer a dose of a drug to patients in need thereof while avoiding steps of manipulation, dilution, reconstitution, dispensing, sterilization, transfer, handling or compounding before intravenous administration.

The present invention further relates to a perfusion system comprising different sets of perfusion containers, each container comprising a ready-to-infuse, stable, sterile, aqueous perfusion solution of a drug, wherein the set of perfusion containers alone or in combination provides for direct intravenous administration of a desired dose of the drug to a patient in need thereof, such that the delivered dose is equal to or within ±5% of the calculated dose.

INJECTION DEVICE FOR SUBCUTANEOUS SEQUENTIAL DELIVERY OF GAS AND A DRUG

A parenteral injection device comprises a housing defining an internal cavity and an output, a first reservoir disposed within the internal cavity, where the first reservoir defines a first chamber that is configured to store a drug and is in fluid communication with the output, a first drive mechanism to selectively force the drug from the first chamber, and a second reservoir disposed within the internal cavity, wherein the second reservoir defines a second chamber that is configured to store a gas and is in fluid communication with the output. The injection device further comprises a second drive mechanism to selectively force the gas from the second chamber, and a controller in signal communication with the first and second drive mechanisms, such that the controller is configured to selectively direct the first and second drive mechanisms to force the drug and gas from the first and second chambers, respectively, to the output in a predetermined sequence.

Fluid injector system volume compensation system and method

A system and method for correcting a volume of fluid delivered by a fluid injector during an injection procedure is described. The method included determining and compensating for a volume factor associated with compliance of the fluid injector system and correcting for the volume by one of over-driving the distance that the drive member travels in a fluid reservoir, under-driving the distance that the drive member travels in the fluid reservoir, or lengthening or shortening a fluid delivery time.

DUAL CHANNEL INFUSION PUMP FOR CONTINUOUS INFUSION

An infusion pump includes first and pumping segments configured to operate in parallel with each other, each pumping segment including a group of serially-aligned pumping elements configured to compress an elongated compressible channel loaded within the pumping segment. Each group of serially aligned pumping elements of the multiple pumping segments is caused to pump according to respective timing patterns offset from each other to deliver a first fluid from a first compressible channel loaded in the first pumping segment to a common delivery tubing while filling a second compressible channel loaded in the second pumping segment with a second fluid, and to deliver the second fluid from second compressible channel to the common delivery conduit while filling the first compressible channel using the first pumping segment.

Device, apparatus and method for controlling infusion

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device, an apparatus, and a method for controlling infusion. The device may include a multi-port container assembly and a liquid flow controller. The multi-port container assembly includes a multi-port container having a plurality of inlets and an outlet, a detector configured to detect amount of liquid in the multi-port container, a first communication subassembly, and a first controller. The first controller may send a first signal to the liquid flow controller via the first communication subassembly in response to the detector detecting that the amount of liquid is lower than a first predetermined threshold. The liquid flow controller may turn off a first infusion tube currently used and turn on a next first infusion tube in response to receiving the first signal.
